Cross river I can understand since surrounding state figures are low, but Kogi government dey lie O! People traveling to northern from the South (west, east and South) Nigeria will stop in okene to eat and rest.
Will not take these figures serious until
we start recording cases of people coughing, sneezing, having difficulty in breathing & possibly dropping dead
in Kogi & maybe Cross River state.

The population of Nigeria is about 200 millions. The number of infections is not yet 10,000. That means that mathematically 1/20,000 Nigerians are infected.

It means that statistically on the average, you'll need to know at least 10,000 people to personally come across one. This statistics also vary from one state to another

I understand that Lagos conducts more test than any other state, and that's why they have the highest number of cases. Does it means that other states whom conduct less test per day will soon face death disaster? And how do people summit themselves to be tested or do they false people and test them.

I understand u and agree with u totally but what i'm saying is dat maybe some of d lagos cases might just be a case of wrong diagnosis. For instance, i had fever and cough for like 2wks, even my colleagues stopped coming close to me till i got better cos they thought i had covid19, if i had gone for d test i'm 75% sure dat they would ve said i was positive for covid19
I understand your fears but if you look at the number of deaths from COVID-19 in countries like UK, USA, Italy you will pray such doesn't happen in Nigeria with our fragile health infrastructure. Almost 40,000 deaths and 260,000 infections in UK alone. UK has a population of about 60million (one third Nigeria's population)

Are you serious? Millions will mean hundreds of thousands of deaths. Be careful what you wish for.
Human beings are funny and easily manipulated with fear. The problem we have here in Nigeria is lack of adequate Statistics. Now we can't have a comparative all cause mortality before this pandemic and now. Are you aware that more than half of Nigerian population are infected with tuberculosis but only a few come down with clinical disease ? And majority of those who come down with clinical disease are those with other immunosuppressive comorbidities similar to what is obtainable with covid 19. Now why is there no lockdown for serious infectious airborne disease , nor isolation centers for infected persons ? I tell you most solemnly, the mortality from covid 19 in Nigeria is far less than mortality from other infectious airway diseases (Tuberculosis, Pneumonia etc). Before the pandemic , thousands of Nigerians die daily from this infectious diseases. The problem we having about this is that we are extrapolating and anticipating a similar scenario in the USA, Spain, Italy, Brazil, etc and also implementing same measures without a critical analysis of what is obtainable in Nigeria. Laziness has always been our problem else a study would have been done to ascertain if the measures we are currently taking outweighs the consequences on our economy

Bros! Let's face the reality, government should open Churches and Mosques. This lockdown should be discarded. Our pastors describe the beauty of Paradise while Imams make us to understand that Aljana is superb even with 72 jinns to one person. This Corona might be the best mode of transportation to reach those places o.

Paradise is beautiful and Aljana is superb but we are feeling reluctant to relocate? So, who is fooling who?

Spot on. The problem with covid is it's highly infectious and its high infection rate. With this even countries that have flattened their curves aren't safe
