So you have the predisposition to believe every allegation? That is not objective, there is nobody at the top that allegation wont be levelled against but if they remain unproven, then they are unfounded. Racoon: |

9jaDoomCountry:I like ur comments,Nigeria youths are brain dead, everything the think is oh,The west wants to enslave Africa and put a lackey for them to control,so many countries have shares in the Bank and rules must be followed, that's not a private company of Adesina to appoint people anyhow and promote them. The for Pension thief sacked was appointed by him to continue her criminal activities |

This is exactly what goes on in most Lagos based Nigerian private sector companies. The Adesina of a guy probably thought he could export the Nigerian Brand of Business Management to the rest of the world. If you have worked for any Nigeria so called blue chip company, you know its probably very true. Infact, the guy might not even know why what he is doing is wrong, as its the norm in Victoria Island. That's why I can never use my money to buy shares of a Nigerian, Lagos based company. |

Nepotism is ingrained in the Nigerian system so when they are caught doing it on the international scene, they wonder when it became a crime. |

seunmsg:Maybe some of the allegations are true maybe not. If true he deserves to go. But I see the hand of South Africa and some envious close neighbours. But they always want Nigeria to play big bros when it comes to contributing money. If Nigeria were serious we won't need another bank controlled by the West in our backyard. |

Seeing so many comments indicating how many people condone these acts of indiscipline and abuse of office shows how we always end up having bad leaders in Nigeria. Only one of these 16 charges is enough to drown public servant in sane climes. I'm really amused by the absurdity of corruption encouragement. |

GeorgeTheCoder:this the real beef, nothing more. If we think our colonial masters alone don't want to rise, we have more opposition in our African brothers, they hate to see us shine wherever. Nigeria have to be careful else we may start playing second fiddle to countries like Togo and Malawi but when they are in turmoil, they know how to run to their big brother but to see us well ahead na there yawa dey |

This is what all these Other Africans do. They do everything within their powers to ruin Nigeria and Nigerians. Nigerians with their large hearts are also always to generous to see that the people around them hate them. These are frivolous issues but are being weaponized by listing large numbers of issues. The US wants him out of the organization, he has been investing in programs that will genuinely benefit Africa and Africans. These organizations are set up to keep Africans perpetually impoverished. |

seunmsg:What is considered "watery" and commonplace in Nigerian institutions (using company funds to pay for private expenses, nepotism in recruitment processes or bypassing due process) are considered very serious crimes in other climes. Adesina is going down hard. Once the US has its eyes on you, there is no escaping it. People think this Invictus Obi matter is a joke. It has placed a very firm spotlight on Nigerians in sensitive positions. |

GEEBITE:That’s because Ure Nigerian and Ure used small and even bigger issues or crimes being absolutely normal. Just look at obasagate. If in the west he wud have been arrested since. Take example of former South Korean President, charged and arrested for Smtn we take for granted here. Also the heir to Samsung arrested for seeking undue Favours from the president. Lol |

seunmsg:Nepotism and unethical practices are serious offence in any reputable organization. E.g. In MDCN ( Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria) going against the ethics is enough to withdraw a license of a medical doctor or suspend him. Don't use what happens in a banana republic like Nigeria as a case study to what happens internationally especially with reputable financial institution like AFDB. That is why Nigeria is such a mess because of gross nepotism ... All the allegations are serious, very serious. You don't run any financial organization like a family business otherwise you will employ charlatans that will cripple investments worth billions of dollars. Have you asked yourself why many banks in Nigeria you think that are big are being bought overnight? e.g. Diamond, Oceanic... somebody like one emir will like to compensate his concubines and cronies with juicy positions. these are nonentities who don't understand banking. what do you expect, they run it down and risk billions of investors money. |

thundafire:Have you done an evaluation of all the appointments done by the world bank president? Who is the family member that Adesina appointed to AFDB? Have you read his response to the allegations? Are you aware that the ethics committee of the bank investigated all the allegations leveled against him and cleared him on all counts? Smh! |

The comments from many people here is the reason why I always say that the problem of Nigeria is not just about it's leaders, APC, PDP, Buhari, etc, but also the followers/the masses. See people jumping to support Adesina despite the weighty allegations levelled against him in an international organization, not Nigerian organization, without waiting for the independent panel to probe, investigate and present their report before taking sides. It's the same way our people are quick to defend their kinsmen who are govt officials but were exposed in corrupt practices simply because " he is our brother". For me, if Adesina is found culpable, he should resign & be held accountable and if otherwise, he should continue in his re-election bid. Se fini! |

Racoon:What I understand from all these allegations is that Mr. Adesina is a lenient man. While people are often punished for their actions, they can also be punished for their Inaction. Additionally, he seems to be favoring Nigerians. If he survives this (which I pray he does), it will be a big lesson. |
