No. 1. Ortom. Inspite of all the harassment from Oshiomole, Ortom defected to PDP and won. Incumbent Governors are very powerful, how much does Chairman have?
No. 2 Do you think APC Governors will allow their colleague to be disgraced by Chairman, that reduces their influence.
No 3. Oshiomole was struggling for his life few months back simply because all other S/S APC leaders moved against him, he was saved by Zulum, Ganduje & Tinubu. He is still going back to fight. Make him no worry.
No 4. Rivers & Zamfara are still fresh on everyone's minds. A repeat will be disastrous.
No 5. There is a new sheriff in town (Gambari) so any crisis at this early stage will not be welcomed. The world over, incumbents are given the rights of first refusal except their performance is abysmal. That cannot be said of Obaseki.
Lastly. With PDP having 2 senators. APC has no choice than to put their best foot forward. If this campaign is not run with state resources, APC is a goner.

It was the same thing when people told current Governor (Professor) Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State to betray immediate past Governor and current Senator, Kashim Shettima. Zulum said: "This man brought me from the University of Maiduguri as a lecturer and made me Commissioner, he entrusted me with huge resources for the resettlement of IDPs. He also went out of his way, and practically abandoned all those who have been politicians for several decades and picked me, a 'baby politician'. Should I now start insulting the same man? I do not have any strand of ingratitude in my DNA."

Ask Fashola. He used tact and wisdom to manage Tinubu, and he eventually had a smooth 2nd term as Governor and he's a 2-term Minister of the Federal Republic today!

Ambodes couldn't have fought as much as obaseki is doing because he would have been impeached the next minute, only neophytes think ambode could have done more, even buhari as a president can't go against tinubus wish in Lagos politics, back to EDO, when obasekis supporters are asked to named his achievements as a state governor, they start mentioning ekpoma roads, roads that aren't up to 1 km, something a local govt chairman wouldn't even be proud of, as an edolite I'm not satisfied with obasekis performance as a governor, he tarred the road leading to my house, lucky way, but he has performed abysmally, how would you justify somebody that destroys opponent's houses and business place for just no reason? How would you justify inauguration of 9 house members at midnight against 25 members? How about closing down college of education for no reason, how would you justify not opening new era girls college because it was built by predecessor, how about legacy projects like benin water storm project that has been abandoned? How about the central hospital that was locked for 3 years and when eventually opened was handed over to private investors? Edo common man can't get treatment in that hospital as we speak, somebody that campaigned with gelegele seaport can't even provide common water for his constituents.
Obaseki is a feather weight politician, how would a sitting edo governor that claims to be popular be represented by opposition in the Senate and house of reps, a governor that lost his ward and unit to opposition during the last general election, what many of you don't know is oshiomole is just a front man for the people fighting obaseki, obaseki is being fought by the binis, his own kindreds, check out the people against his second term are all binis except oshiomhole, obaseki made sure the likes of odubu lost their federal appointments, isn't it a foolish son that fights his household?
