The national centre for disease control has alerted the increase in black market sales of covid-19 test kits in Nigeria.
The presidential task force on covid-19 and the secretary to the government of the federation Boss Mustapha confirmed this in a Press conference in Abuja.
He also lamented the increase in deaths due to refusal of hospital to treat non covid-19 patients.

Is there anything in Nigeria that doesn't have a black market? Because of our inefficiency in testing due to unlimited excuses, pls let the black market sales of the kit go on jare if it will guarantee more citizens to have rapid diagnosis from point of care testing and even safeguard health workers to rule out Covid 19 from patients who approach hospitals to treat other health challenges. Look at the countries opening up their economies gradually, it's because they are testing massively and not crawling with inconsistent figures of testing each day. Does NCDC think they will put citizens in this psychological captivity of not knowing their Covid 19 status even when they have suspected having exposure with confirmed cases? In advanced countries, a lot of testing has been done, but here in naija, even the test results announced on a said day are not for samples collected same day, and more infected persons can't even get tested even when they report themselves of showing symptoms.
