Who Is Finishing The 6-Day Fast Tomorrow? by Abdulmalik052(op): 6:31am On May 29, 2020
Salam alaykum warahmatullah

This year's Ramadhan ended last week Saturday, which basically means that the month of Sha'waal commenced on Sunday. The prophet (SAW) recommended fasting an additional voluntary six days in Sha'waal as its reward is equivalent to that of fasting for a whole year.
Alhamdulilah, I started mine on Monday and by sunset today In Sha Allah, it'll make five days of fasting. I have no intention of breaking any day(s) in between the six days.

Have you started yours or do you have the intention to observe it?
Are you observing it consecutively or breaking in between?

May Allah forgive us of our sins and guide us aright.

Jum'ah Mubarak to all Muslims and happy Friday to everyone.

Ma’sha Allah you have tried....started mine of Tuesday so I’m finishing on Sunday but for reals I’ve not actually seen a solid proof apart from being sunnah some people will just force you to fast it without considering the voluntariness

You're not supposed to start fasting Shawwal until Tuesday. The day of eid and the following day are usually not recommended for fasting.

May Allah make it easier. I started observing the Sha'waal fast last year too and I've made up my mind that no matter how hard things go for me, I'll always strive for better. So, that motivated me not to think of neglecting this year's own.
I mean I'm in some sort of competition with my self.

I have heard this several times and marvel at how ignorant people can be! I have tried fasting without waking up to eat early in the morning and felt no difference.please let's be guided.
