Please, can you help me with this ���

What area of chemistry would you recommend for someone to pursue his master's degree.

And which aspect of chemistry do you think would still be relevant in 20 to 30 years to come.

Let me share a bit of what I know. I am currently an undergraduate student in an institution in Nigeria and I badly need advice and mentorship to make this heavy decision. I've searched online for some areas and I found some like:
.. analytical chemistry
.. synthetic Chemistry
.. medicinal chemistry
.. forensic chemistry
Among others. And I Know that in some years to come some of these fields will become much more demanded than others and some might become relegated.

I believe there are well read and experienced nairalanders who have also thread this path or have ideas that could help in this regard.

I'll really appreciate your contribution.

I didn't see msc social work on the list , I was told unilag offers the course ,is the list all the courses offered in unilag . I ve bsc sociology and want to switch to msc social work since they are related ,hope that won't be a bad idea?

It is accepted. Second class lower happen to be the least class of grade accepted for many courses in UNILAG except for few ones which Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is among, where 3rd class is accepted

But my certificate is not ready amd knowing delsu it won't be ready for a while, i heard yoi could use your stament of result, but you would also have to go through a process, i would like a brief explanation on that, and the process of sending the transcript from my school to unilag when is the best time to do it? On clicking and checking through the list of programs, i found out my desired course: Msc Actuarial Science isn't in the list.

Does it mean it won't be offered this session?

In fact, most courses listed are MPhil and Phd. Msc programs were not listed.

But my certificate is not ready amd knowing delsu it won't be ready for a while, i heard yoi could use your stament of result, but you would also have to go through a process, i would like a brief explanation on that, and the process of sending the transcript from my school to unilag when is the best time to do it? It's simple just apply with ur statement when u get admitted send in ur transcripts

Sure 2:2 is accepted. most courses accept 3rd class. so there is plenty for everyone.

Hi Splendorian,

It's all depends on the specific course. Most MSc is 12months for full time. PT are 24monrhs.

Some courses are 18monrhs.

Yes that is the name of the course.
It's called masters in public and international affairs in unilag. It's more robust and encompassing.

Another thing you should know is that it's a professional course.
