onegig:He's actually responding to someone who was actually doing the "baseless comparisons" saying we have better Universities but you guys have " better people from varsities"....whatever that means |

onegig:Wasn't he disparaging black South Africans? You were cool then, right? So be cool when I retaliate. |

IronGalaxy:He chose to ignore that bit. And the guy had to single out blacks. Always trying to be superior. I put him back in his place cause it's obvious SA politicians are running the show on the continent. |

What about in Nigeria? |
| Re: Two New State Universities In South Africa (PICS) by onegig(m): 1:34pm On May 31, 2020 |
TMKsouth:I didn't see that comment and I am not World Police or arbiter to be settling fights and nah not cool with whatever disparaging words he/she said. I can only relate to you as the OP. It's your thread so maybe you control the narratives and ignore trolls. By the way you sound a lot defensive. Focus on the thread Uni buildings and not the politics of the local environment these buildings are located in. |

onegig:What the OP wanted was for Nigerians to praise white SA,he is a white SA Man who gets a hard-on when Nigerians insult black SA or black SA insult Nigerians. He pretends to be fighting for the " honour" of black SA with another moniker ,& then uses another ( nigerian) to insult the same SA . Follow his threads, & look & how they usually turn out . |

cassbeat:The names the original poster was complaining about weren't even Afrikaans, except for one - Plaatjie. But yes, most of the ones I quoted back are Afrikaner and Sesotho. Afrikaans is influenced by Dutch, you're right. |

Lionessza6:Could u STOP this already - I'm not who and what you think I am. I have a right to be a black South African who is gatvol with the wreckage Zuma caused during his tenure, without u accusing me of being a white propagandist and following me everywhere spreading lies about me. How are these two new universities the products of white rule when the ANC is the one who built them? And why would I want Nigerians to insult black South Africans when I'm the one doing the heavy work here defending them. Perhaps you're the one with multiple monikers and schizophrenia, thats why u know the game. |

darfay:Lol Hey old foe. It's actually Maraba-stad, not what u think. Stad means city in Afrikaans, Dutch and German. |
| Re: Two New State Universities In South Africa (PICS) by Lionessza6(f): 2:16pm On May 31, 2020 |
TMKsouth:LMFAO, ofcourse you start threads like this so that you could be the hero of SA blacks . At the same time getting your fix; black SA vs Nigerians. You know Nigerians with low self esteem will be doing the praise singing of whites ,which is what you're after . Hence your other SA monikers start insulting threads about Nigerian government & African governments in general ( your real target). & yes you can only fool idiots . You are a white propagandist with low self-esteem codedly looking for praise . Pathetic!. |

darfay:Check out his posts on nairaland about not only Nigerians but Africans in general ,you will realise who he is . And also his presence in SA topics like these ( calling for Nigerians to be recolonised or how you shouldn't have gotten independence earlier) . If you really cant decipher what he is doing or what he is after then..................... you're a good target market . They use both SA slangs & Nigerian pidgin . |
| Re: Two New State Universities In South Africa (PICS) by TMKsouth(op): 2:29pm On May 31, 2020 |
darfay:That wasn't my argument. He was saying SA can afford to build nice quality universities because they are small and are the size of a single faculty in Nigeria. Implying that Nigeria cannot build glossy universities because it requires accommodating more students because of your population size. That's when I showed him that SA also has huge campuses, but does not compromise on quality and maintenance. Hope you get it. |

onegig:No o bro, sometimes the fencing is required even in public institutions or universities, schools like unilag are in a built up environment with neighbourhoods like bariga, mushin, shomolu, iwaya close by and are very rough neighbourhoods And you are right as to Nigerian architecture being distasteful especially multi million Naira private/exclusive homes with zero lawns but instead inter locking bricks, I think government should step to regulate it |
