Hello guys, I've never had any experience when it comes to car. I've never been behind wheels before. I'm a complete learner when it comes to car and any issues about it. However, a friend of mind just sent cars from CA and he's offering me to get BMW 320i 2004 for 1.150.
Please I'll like to know the pros and cons of getting it before even proceeding to getting a mechanic to follow me. Any advise or suggestions are highly welcome. I'll be active to answer any questions that you might have.

Just my 2 cents. BMW is a more expensive care to maintain compared to Toyota's and Honda's but you would enjoy driving the car.

If you are financially buoyant and don't mind spending more on maintaining a car, then you can go for it..

I really don't think BMW of this year are that expensive to maintain. For 1 I know the 320 is a strong and reliable car. If you are in Lagos, there are lots of parts available. All you need to do is preventive maintenance, with OEM parts (Toks) and the right oil.. You would be fine

It's a good ride. No major known problems. Quite reliable.
Use recommended fluids and you will be alright.
If it's coming from Canada, make sure your friend checks the underneath thoroughly for rust.

The BMW 320i series is a rugged and reliable car. The spare parts are readily available in the market, more cheaper at the famous Ladipo market in Lagos. He should stick to the recommended engine oil. Fairly easy and cheap to maintain. At the quoted price, it's a good buy.

@ Op, if you have them, can we see pictures of the E46? Don't forget to look up the history report of the car.

This mentality is what keeps making Toyota Corolla maintain it's over priced state.
Before you reply just confirm the price of 03-05 corolla Engine and also the Engine of OP's supposed BMW.
