Derek Chauvin will make his first appearance in court after spending the weekend locked in solitary confinement in a heavily fortified Minnesota jail guarded by police, marksmen and barbed wire barriers.

SWAT Teams with binoculars kept lookout from the rooftop of the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center. While a phalanx of Sheriff's Deputies stood guarded behind a hastily erected steel fence.

Cahuvin was been held there Friday through Sunday because of the carnage unfolding outside jail facilities in Minneapolis, where he will make his first appearance at the Hennepin County Courthouse at 1pm Monday.

Chauvin was on suicide watch at RCADC. RCADC took no chances, sending off the area with concrete bomb-proof barriers and mounting round the clock patrols in case protesters decided to target the jail in downtown St. Paul.

TMZ reports that Chauvin has a camera focused on him all day and cops check on his cell in person every 15 minutes. Such check are to be common in high profile cases.

It has not been revealed weather the 44 year old ex-cop charged with 3 degree murder and 2nd degree manslaughter of unarmed George Floyd by kneeling on his kneck for 9 agonising minutes, will appear in person or via video link.

Derek chauvin has now been moved to the Minnesota Correctional facilities (Oak Park Heights).

I tried watching the video over and over again and what I could visualize is a deliberate attempt for murder....that guy is heartless

Look at how you have ended up. You have brought shame to your family. If you had use your foresight by being humane, this would have been averted. Your co-prisoners awaits you.
