This list contain the latest ranking of all higher Institutions (Universities, polytechnics and colleges) of learning in Nigeria as ranked by Webometrics, an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.

CSIC promotes scientific research to improve the progress of scientific and technological advancement of a country so as to better the life of citizens.

This latest list comes with a shocker as polytechnics, even colleges of education are ranked higher than universities.
