I was reading a piece on yoruba folk lore and it caught my eye.Is it really an authentic story?Have u been there?

I honestly don't know if the story about eating yam and birthing twins is true.
It could be preconceived and there's something about preconception which happens to be working for them. If at all it is.

Well I read it from a seasoned author although it's pointed out that the trend of arranged marriages is more seen in wealthy traditional families.

I feel this is common among wealthy people regardless of tribe. Rich people everywhere want to grow/maintain their wealth, not dilute it by marrying their kids to poor people.

Yeah you are right cos I've personally witnessed that where I'm from.Still think it's wrong for parents to kinda force someone on a man/woman they may not have feelings for just to maintain wealth and social status.
