U people talk as if this money is for capital project ...in most states 70% of this money is used to pay civil servants ..10% used to run government the rest used for capital project

I wonder how I can be governor of imo state and not generate 50 billion a month ...I'm I mad ?

Every business must be registered , I mean every business be u akara seller ...every business must have and identification number
Every business that makes less than 50k a month would be tax free , but yet be registered
Every business that's makes more than 50k profit would pay 20% of that extra profit as tax
Every goods above 1500 must be registered and vatted , failure to do this fine 500k or u forfeit your business ,
Every bus driver or taxi driver must pay 5k per week operational permit ...then if I catch u colleting money from drivers as agbro ..5 years jail time ..all payments must be electionic
All hotels would pay 20% for every service rendered ...room payment , food , drink , everything must be registered ... failure fine 5 million plus normal tax
Break traffic rule 200k or u lose your car

There is no how u can't raise 50 billion every month from this

The uproar that this tax policy will generate will send you out of the Government House.

When Aregbesola just became the Governor of Osun State and he wanted to introduce the Lagos State Tax template in Osun, the hatred that the policy generated against him was so much that nobody told him before he reversed the obnoxious tax policy.

With all the money these governors are getting, there’s no excuse for a lack of infrastructure development in Nigeria. Hold your governors accountable, hold yourselves as civil servants accountable too.

Nigerians will pay tax if they know it will be utilized to provide basic amenities. Nigerians are reluctant to pay taxes because they know all their leaders are kingpins of corruption who will divert the money to Dubai, buy private jets and acquire luxury cars like Dino Melaye.

ooo are you people not tired? We're talking about how to hold our govenors accountable for the money they've gotten you're yarning okpata. Rivers Delta bayelsa and Akwa Ibom my state are all in the top ten so what's your problem? You should rather focus your energy on knowing why kano and katsina receive more money than imo and Anambra and leave us with this biafra thing first.

As far as I'm concerned, it's only Ebonyi state that can justify the monies received. All others have a lot of explaining to do.

I wish you good luck.

However , i am a strong advocate of payment of taxes because this will give citizens the moral right to be interested in their government and proper participations in government.

Prolong period of governance based on sharing of revenues at the centre to the States has killed ingenuity and proper development at the grassroot level.
