Job Duties and Tasks:

- Organize data, and analyze and interpret its authenticity and relative significance.
- Trace historical development, such as social; cultural; political; or diplomatic history of a particular town, Village or a state.
- Conduct historical research as a basis foridentification, conservation, and proper documentation of historic places and materials in an organized manner.
- Conduct historical research, and publish or present findings and theories.
- Review prepared publications by others, in order to ensure their historical accuracy and adaptability.
- Research the history of a particular town or region, or of a specific time period.
- Present historical accounts in terms of individuals or social, ethnic, political, economic, or geographic groupings.
- Determine which topics to research, or pursue research topics specified by the management.
- Research and prepare manuscripts in support of public programming and the development of exhibits at historic sites, museums, libraries, and archives if need be.
- Consult with individuals and institutions regarding issues such as the historical authenticity of materials or the customs of a specific historical period.
- Translate or request translation of reference materials.
- Collect detailed information on individuals for use in biographies.
- Interview people in order to gather information about historical events, and recorded oral histories.

- Candidate should possess relevant experience.
- Track record of creative writing
- Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
- Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions
- Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
- Ability to multi-task
- Eye for detail - Able to balance stories, see the bigger picture and to challenge the status quo where required.
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form a comprehensive story (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
- The ability to listen with rapt attention
- Passion for researching and writing interesting historical stories
- Strong knowledge of media processes
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and research skills
- Charismatic and magnetic personality
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Dedicated team player
- Good time-management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
