Single use plastics should be banned in Nigeria or taxed to high heavens and the revenue realised directly used to tidy up. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Firstly people in the areas truly should be blamed atimes for the indiscrimate dumping of refuse. The govt too should be blamed for the insufficient provision made as par the evacuation of refuse. Cos PSP seldom go out to collect refuse so residents tend to pile them up in front of their houses and atimes are forced to patronise abokis. When it rains heavily the flood drags the refuse along to the canals which restrictsfree flow of drainage. The govt need to work with residents to find a way out before it's too late. |

gambia:. This guy your head no correct go to common Ghana, their government subsidize waste bin for their citizens to buy and made it mandatory for each household to use while they are companies like zoom lion that discard the waste for the citizens. The government also gave out free to those who can't afford it but in Nigeria zero. Don't you know Nigerian government can make huge revenue from defaulters who break the law, by charging them to court and bill them for a fine. It can also create employment if it is well organized in such a way the employees would monitor, setup offices that would be used to create awareness and sentitize, procurement of equipment for household cleaning etc. Nigeria is a sick country. 1 Like |

Very simple solution...... 24 hours refuse undercover surveillance operators, imposing bank busting on the spot fines (payable immediately) or be detained till fine is paid........ 1 Like |

gambia:Calm down men, Govt should take responsibility because they are leading. They should provide trash cans every where both in the cities and rural areas. There should be a serious taskforce by the govt to monitor people and prosecute the defaulters with heavy fines and jail sentences. This is what keep modern world. Remove law and order, they will behave like typical Nigerian |
