Lagos is just too overcrowded making it a very dirty place....
Its not d matter of over crowding, it is d poor hygienic nature of the citizens. Tokyo is almost two times d population of Lagos, and they're not experiencing something gory as this.

Who is the idiot destroying this site with all these obscene images

The people are doing a great service to the motherland by exposing such moral decadence in our society. It is inhuman to live like that, rich or poor.

All those fundamental tasks are avenues for diversified job creation and environmental structuring.

There is never a good news about Nigeria and it surprises me how Nigerians beat their chest and refer to other African nations as "small country".

LASG should stop all these long grammer because the perpetrators don't read news. Instead they should channel their energy towards the clean up and putting up measures against future reoccurrence.

. Overcrowding is not the cause. Human behaviour and lack of legislation to control refuse disposal and management is responsible. If you have ever tossed a piece of nylon in the street, then you have also contributed to this malady

People will be blaming government on everything, these are common things individuals should take care of, provided everyone is responsible.

There is no public waste collection scheme that should be the primary responsibility of the council. So even if some sane individuals are able to manage their waste and litter, there is nowhere to dispose of it. No public bins, no regimented and adequately equipped street cleaning squad, no structured waste collection scheme and no appropriated landfills that are humanely managed.

The ancient Egyptians were far more organised and better in managing their environmental sanitation in the ''ancient'' time than we are doing today in the ''21st century" oil-rich Nigeria.

It is all about common sense.

This guy your head no correct go to common Ghana, their government subsidize waste bin for their citizens to buy and made it mandatory for each household to use while they are companies like zoom lion that discard the waste for the citizens. The government also gave out free to those who can't afford it but in Nigeria zero. Don't you know Nigerian government can make huge revenue from defaulters who break the law, by charging them to court and bill them for a fine. It can also create employment if it is well organized in such a way the employees would monitor, setup offices that would be used to create awareness and sentitize, procurement of equipment for household cleaning etc.
Nigeria is a sick country.

I would have appreciated your contribution if there was no abusive comment to it, but it seems you are a fool who has no respect for people's opinion, How on earth will you be comparing a country like Ghana with 30 million population to Nigeria.

Calm down men, Govt should take responsibility because they are leading. They should provide trash cans every where both in the cities and rural
areas. There should be a serious taskforce by the govt to monitor people and prosecute the defaulters with heavy fines and jail sentences. This is what keep modern world. Remove law and order, they will behave like typical Nigerian

Thanks for educating me, sometimes around 2018, Lagos state provided trash can for some areas and people ended up selling those trash can, some even convert it to a local water reservoir.
