NCDC is messing up with these data..

I am actually a patient in one of the States .. How come the number of people brought into my ward alone supersedes the total number recorded in the state for today

Prior to outcome of results people are asked to self isolate at home and are called to report to the isolation centre once they are confirmed positive. Unfortunately it will take some people 24-48hrs to report while some others especially if assymptomatic may opt to isolate at home especially if their living condition is favourable and won't jeopardize the health of others. Some other persons will switch off their phones after receiving the outcome of their tests and will refuse to report to the isolation centres. The latter has been widely reported by NCDC and state Govts task force on COVID whereas the 2nd option is a new guideline aimed at decongesting the isolation centres.

If Nigeria really wants to contain this virus, I think there should be a total and effective lock down in Lagos for at least a month. That covid nonsense has really ravaged that place.

This thing should have been kept under control if not for our useless bribe-addicted police and stupid politicians running from Abuja to zamfara just to loot this country dry.

Well, me dey my humble state ooo with strict adherence to social distancing and other guidelines. I no wan die now, I neva get money......lol

I know our govt has misled and deceived us many times and we have all lost trust in them. I don't believe them at all.
E.g because doctors want to go on strike, Govt said the hazard allowance for health workers was mistakenly omitted in d revised 2020 budget. How can u omit 185b Naira and you are fighting Covid 19.

But you see this Covid 19 case I just want to beg you, if you have co-morbidity ( high blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension, or u don fill your lungs with cigarettes or HIV, any sickness u are managing).
No follow dem play with this corona virus o.
No talk say our government dey lie this time.
Na who survive go live to tell story wether govt dey deceive us or na real.
If na audio or na original by 2021 we go know d truth but stay safe.
Exactly.
To some extent the numbers they are uploading might be true. Lagos is having over 21m population and over 6k confirmed cases. I don't know why Nigeria keep believing ncdc is lying .with that stat about Lagos you might not know anybody that know anybody that is having covid 19 like we always say . so please let us stay safe ooo..... And please Nigeria should not keep saying they did not display the isolation centers on air .. Baba European country get well equipped hospital than our country oo. OK ask yourself this question she if dem display government hospital for your area on air he go make sense.

Are you serious with the Lagos should be totally lockdown thing? For who?

When the first lockdown came on board, we were told that they wanted to do contact tracing. Then the lockdown was extended for the same course - to do contact tracing. And with all these time to themselves to trace contacts of those infected, some few weeks back, NCDC said that they were unable to trace the contacts of about 7267 cases. Funny, right?
wasn't just funny, it shows the level of NCDC unseriousness.

My point is: no matter how long we continue to lockdown, we are not going to achieve nothing. I mean, nothing! At the end, it would turn a non zero-sum game, where the NCDC and the government win while the masses lose. It would be a very, very good loss to the masses.

However, the earlier we continue realise that we need to adapt to this virus, and live with it, the better for us. The better for the masses, for the economy, for the NCDC, and for the government. To me, that's a win-win (zero-sum game) situation.

With the level of easing of lockdown, and the level of compliance with precautions, do you think it's really still necessary to go on with contact tracing and isolation of infected persons? It's like leaving the points of leakage open, and scooping the fluid as control. Maybe NCDC should just let things fly and limit operations to treatment of moderate to severe cases. Nigerians will survive.

Your head is very correct! The easing of lockdown has clearly defeated the purpose of contact tracing, testing and isolation of infected people.
The easing up of lockdown became necessary as a result of government failure to provide adequate palliative measures for the people. At this juncture in Nigeria, coronavirus spread is out of control. I only hope our situation here will not get as bad as USA's, Italy's, India's, UK's, Spain's or Brazil's.

Figures reported are less because many states don't allow much testing, but d truth is many people contact this virus without showing symptoms and recover too on their own. SYAY SAFE

I'm patiently waiting to see how and when this NCDC league will end.

NYSC wants Corpers to go back and complete their orientation course.
Schools in Borno and Cross River about to resume.
Health and front line workers been owed allowances.
Interstate lockdown to be lifted on June 21
Nigerian football league also wants to resume like the ones in Europe.

Patients at isolation centers protesting and going on public holidays.
No palliatives from government despite the lockdown

NCDC yet to test up to 1% of our population 3 months after the index case.

Politicians cashing out big time with our new Boko Haram. They just have a way of turning everything into a business venture.

I don't see the importance of NYSC, it should be scrapped!

Lagosians are not even bothered about the numbers not to talk of the virus.

Life is going on normally. In the day we go to work with all hustling and bustling while at night, we unwind at hotels with chilled bottles of beer and catfish.

I'm quite sure 60% of lagosians have had and fought off this virus in their own unique way. Loss of taste and smell is a norm Now. With good 'agbo', anti-malaria drugs, fruits and vitamin C, we recover in days.

At this rate we can keep having figures like this till 2021 pending when maybe we take a cue from South Africa and test beyond 5k per day. The slow transmission rate is really biting us now.
I was thinking like you before (defending the government) until i saw complete lackof seriousness in the fight against this virus from our government, then i believe their is something fishy about everything.

Please people should not play with their lives. COVID19 is real. My family Dr. is presently in isolation. He got it from his aged father. His brothers and his Dad's care giver are presently very ill.

He told me how he saw to people die in their cars outside the Isolation centre.

Wise up, people. Stay home if you have no important thing to do outside. Protect your kids too.

How many have it killed, no body is saying that coronavirus is not real but please tell your government to be sincere with it.

Do not depend wholly on government for your safety this period..

The only thing that remains very true from the government is the fact that covid is very real and no successful Victory yet against it...

Pls stay safe ... Everything you do outside your home now is risky...

Laslty chloroquine isn't an option ooh.. The virus is not malaria.. The only thing here is to boost your immune then your system fights the virus .. If you already have a compromised immune then sorry its either you live for ever like that and keep others at risk or you are on your way out of earth.. Not from covid though but from other problems it would create
