APC is just one party in Nigeria. Becoming APC presidential candidate doesn't mean he will win the votes of Nigerians in the general elections. Infact the biggest mistake APC would make that would give PDP an easy ride at the general election is to field Tinubu as candidate. All PDP would need to do is to field a popular northern candidate who would largely win the votes of the north (most northerners who are politically suave would never vote a yoruba against their kinsman, coupled with the fact that they would prefer power to remain within the north). Of course, the south east and south south would naturally give their votes to PDP. The game would be PDP's to lose if Tinubu is fielded, trust me.

Tinubu and oshio do not really seek to control rivers but to deal with amechi for not belonging to their camp and that is by empowering magnus.by the way amechi had already started gaining victories in rivers from 2016.before the polls,apc had two senate seats.his choice of not fielding magnus took him back to square one

If the roles were reversed and Wike was in APC and Amaechi in PDP,
