Unfortunately, the much-anticipated launch date has been postponed due to the current crisis (precisely the #BlackLivesMatter protests) that has outrun the United States of America.

This message was officially announced by PlayStation on Twitter that the Mega event scheduled for Thursday, June 4th, 2020, has been canceled due to the several unrests around several American cities caused by the death of George Floyd who died in the hands of a White Cop in Minneapolis after being "brutally" handled.

Microsoft recently announced that the future Xbox Series X will have backward compatibility to support games from older Xbox consoles (Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One). The American gaming giants revealed that thousands of games on earlier Xbox consoles will be playable on the Xbox Series X console. This announcement puts Microsoft's Xbox a step ahead of Sony's PlayStation when it comes to compatibility with older games.

This topic is misleading,the only thing that was postponed because of the sensitive nature of the ongoing #blacklivesmatter protest is the PS5 reveal event that was supposed to take place on June 4 which has now been shifted to a yet to be determined date,the holiday release of the PS5 is still very much on course to albeit in limited numbers.
