Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has developed cold feet in executing the premeditated and illegal disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki from contesting in the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the run up to the governorship election in Edo State billed for September, 2020.

Sources had earlier revealed that the former governor had scheduled to announce the governor’s disqualification by 2pm, but he later backtracked and rescheduled the press conference for 2:30, with national television stations lined up to broadcast the announcement live.

However, understanding the unpopularity of the move, it was learnt that he is making last minute calls to seek solidarity for his tyrannical decision to disqualify the governor.

Please, that statement is wrong. The Binis have not answered yet. You know how party politics is in Nigeria. The larger majority got no say, even though the greedy few will claim to be representing their interest.
The phrase 'Benin is not Lagos' never meant (as implied by many), that Oshiomole cannot use the instrumentality of his office as Chairman of APC to have his way. Rather, it means Oshiomole cannot make anyone a Governor in Edo State in 2019, like Tinubu did.
