The Lost of APC in bayelsa to PDP at the eleventh hour as a result of faulty screening relating to questioning certificate don pursue obaseki from group stage of the race. Good luck to those qualified for the semifinal stage. Where are those betting there balls for obaseki to win the election? what do I no sef? is transfer window still open?

It’s the end of the road for Obaseki. The best he can do now is to decamp to PDP and hijack the party’s ticket if possible or remain in APC and try to mess things up for the party from within. He doesn’t look like someone that will give up the fight easily to me.

Sadly, I really don’t see a path to second term for him even if he decamps to PDP and hijack the ticket. He is finished politically. If he can’t get PDP ticket, I will advice him to take the Ambode option and quit the stage honorably.

Oil dey your head bro. You have a point. Unfortunately winning under PDP won't be easy.

He can't do any of those. The best thing for him to do now is to bow out quietly like Ambode or else the EFCC will beam their searchlight on his corrupt government especially on how he spent 1 billion naira to fight Covid 19 and many others.

When it comes to sitting governor denied second term ticket they actually a bit more in numbers. But sticking to sitting governor disqualified from contesting we have 2 since the return of democracy. Timipre Sylva and Obaseki.

However, these are the list of Governors denied return tickets.

Bala James Ngilari 2015

Democracy returned in 1999 if my memory serves me right. On that note Gov Mbadinuju was denied as he actually won the Primaries twice.
The one I'm conversant with is Bala James Ngilari.
Ambode was not denied.. He did Primaries but lost.
Let's put them in the right perspective for posterity sake

My good people of Nigeria, with the political tangle happening between the sitting governor, Governor Godwin Obaseki and Adams Oshiomhole in Edo state, this lead to many issues that has been bordering my mind. My good people, I want to ask you, during the governorship election in Edo state in 2015, was it not Oshiomhole that presented Godwin Obaseki to the entire people of Edo state as the candidate he was going to support in that election, he supported Obaseki and he won the election. My question now is, that certificates Obaseki presented in 2015 that qualified him to run for tht election in Edo state in 2015, is it not the same certificates he still presents for the up coming Edo governorship election in 2020 (5years) why didn't Oshiomhole raised this allegation against Obaseki in 2015, WHY NOW? I beg the Edo people to learn a lesson from this. Whoever Oshiomhole, present now for the up coming governorship election in Edo should have it at the back of his mind, that what is happening to Obaseki now can also happened to him ( THERE IS A PROVERB THAT SAYS, THE CANE THAT WAS USED TO FLOG THE FIRST WIFE IS STILL BEEN RESERVED FOR THE SECOND WIFE) My good people of Nigeria please, what is your take on this issue? President Buhari and Asiwaju, Ahmed Tinubu, that Governor Godwin Obaseki ran to in Abuja and Lagos States respectively to save him from the hand of Oshiomhole, they could not save him. My good people, you can see how those in the corridor of power are using their veto power to oppress people in this country. May God deliver us from their hands IJN
