If you have been following NNPC monthly financial report, this won’t even come as a surprise to you. They have been reporting loss on all the refinery since god knows when.

I think last year or so was when the refineries posted profit or so. I’m not really sure.

Until those refinery are fully operational to full capacity and well utilized, we will keep hearing homogeneous loss from those refineries.

Playing the Devil's advocate here as like you I don't know the full story. Lamar might have had previous convictions(incredibly Long rap sheets) whilst this might have been Chase's first conviction hence the leniency shown.

When will this be? I think its best they sell off those refineries. Our government has been known to be bad managers of business for years now. I don't even think the optimum profitability of the refinery can ever be realized under any Nigerian government.

OJ Simpson and George Zimmermann got away with cold blooded murder because they were able to pay for high level lawyers while others who committed lesser crimes got the book thrown at them

R.Kelly and Jeff Epstein were able to get away with raping minors for over many yrs because of this too while many people got convicted for lesser offences

Moreover, it is in own best interest to refine our oil. You can talk about reform or restructuring of the system to best utilize these assets than just selling them off.

When I’m less busy I will i find those monthly NNPC financial report and you will see that with a little twerk here and there and taking turn around maintenance on the refinery serious, we can maximize it. It’s a pity those refineries were built ages ago.

Bros forget. There are several private companies doing handsomely well without any government backed monopoly. We've seen how telecommunications companies have done really well compared tí what we had with nitel back then. They deliver service, get paid for the service and post good profit for their shareholders.

You see those companies u are willing to mention that were sold by government to private establishments and didn't post profit are mostly those sold to politicians and their friends.

I can bet u Dangote refinery will start production,will be posting profit in the long run and years after Kaduna refinery will be under renovation and still be posting loss by incurring billions of naira in Admin expenses. It makes absolutely no sense pumping money into the refineries when it's not making any money.

Talking about NNPC requiring little tweak to start making profit should not even be happening because even when the tweak is done the organization will still not be making as much profit as it ought to because of how government handles things

This scenario is far different from that of Rayshard. The white guy took a less harmful weapon (baton) from the officer and drove off with their car. Common sense should tell you that the car would be tracked and the guy will be facing the book. This isn't even a white privilege issue. We've seen lotta black guys open fire on police vehicles, beat up cops rob them and do worst, yet they get away with it. This is far different from Rayshard's case, Dude pointed a taser at a cop and you expect the officer just to pass out like that without doing anything?. Do you know the kind of fear the cop would've have felt if Rayshard eventually tased him? Especially this desperate times.
This scenario is just different from that of Rayshard.

Pls try to confirm the authenticity of this kind of weird reports before commenting. I can tell for the fact this is not Nigeria but somewhere in the north of Columbia. The full reports used to be in my archives in my missing phone I could have posted it here.
