@ the bolded, didn’t you hear Atiku says he was going to sell NNPC to his friends? How is that different with the issue we are having with the discos currently? Or you think politicians won’t sell those assets to their cronies?

One first question is why isn’t these assets generating revenue as they should and then make systematic changes to make things work.

Look at the Aiaokuta Steel company, this FG has signed a government to government deal with the Russians to carry out full renovation and technical expertise to restart the steel company in a public private partnership. In the same vein, we can get the refineries working optimally again. It’s not everything sell sell sell.

NNPC as a whole is making profit, there are several divisions that make up the corporation and I think it’s only the refineries that are posting loss and i think that started change last year of thereabouts. I’m not sure on that tho.
Bros if Àtiku's friends have proven track record of engaging in companies' transformation, have capable managers that have been involved in management of big conglomerate on their payroll, etc....I don't see why the company should not be sold to them. If most of the companies some of them.have touched are still standing and declaring profit year in year out, then why not?

We all know the problem in the power sector is multifaceted. It's not just the discos that are the problem, we have old and rusty transmission lines( some as old as 40 years), the shortage of gas supply etc....

By the way, since the privatization of NEPA, PHCN despite the many challenges that comes with unbundling one big government corporation and dividing them into GENCOS,DISCOS, TCN etc...we've seen some improvements that weren't visible while we had the inefficient NEPA. About two months ago I finally got a prepaid meter that now puts me in charge of determining how much electricity I consume as against the old habit of estimate billing they do in the past.( Though not everybody has one yet, but at least they are driving it to ensure more people have access to it )

The point I'm trying to make is there is at least some level of accountability in the private sector. Even if u try to mess up, an independent auditor report will find u out and u will take the fall for Ur actions.

Look at Bunmi Oni the once celebrated MD/CEO of Cardbury. Despite his company doing well and he being referenced as one big role model for those in the corporate world, the moment a PWC report confirmed he had been overstating profit as much as 13 billion, he was disgraced and shown the way out. The company still stands today servicing their clientele after washing their hands off him. The owners of the company at least made sure he didn't drag the company down with him.

OK. My bad. I guess we are all guilty of stereotyping others in one way or the other. Columbia you say? It's surreal knowing there are also black cattle rearers there too.
Is this not funny given your views on stereotyping based on race that you have been very vocal about

You are upset when people do it towards you but you dont have a problem dishing it out to others

I do not normally stereotype people hence my apology for doing this. I saw an info that stated that a herdsman was caught in the act of bestiality with an animal and I believed it hastily. It does not automatically cast me out as a stereotypical person. I just made a mistake.

Don't worry that was how man utd was ahead in signing Thiago also and Chelsea was ahead in signing Sule

If Bayern wants Harvetz they will get him just like with Sane and Werner

We will get the one we want and leave you with the one we don't

Timo may need enough time to settle, as it's a different ball game in epl. I still prefer him to Morata though.
like lampard gave Pulisic but if Timo and Ziyech need time to settle who would be starting?

I'm glad the deals were done early. and hopefully be a far better hit than Bruno Fernandes

So your team sef na poachers.com. We were never interested in Werner even when he was doing his best to convince Bayern to buy him we simply ignored

Werner plays on the left side of attack and that is where we are targetting Sane to play. Harvetz looks more talented than Werner and has a higher ceiling in my opinion

Harvetz "looks more talented" but isn't more talented?!

I want to know because why would Chelsea having attacking players like Ziyech, Pulisic, Timo, CHO, even Mount still go and spend about 80m for Harvetz.

Haven't watched him, but his stats don't show much either?

I can only judge by what I see. Werner is a speedstar and Bayern told him they have reservation about his ability to play against parked buses, He tried his best to explain that he will improve and how Lewandoski also improved as he grew older but Bayern didnt buy his shalayes

Werner currently plays for Leipzig a tier 2 team whose ambition is to finish top 4 and qualify for the CL, but better suited to Europa league
In the CL they hope to make knockouts and if lucky and get favourable draws make the semi. Once they meet a strong side they crash.
A team with tier 2 ambitions JUST LIKE current CHELSEA

Basically he made a lateral move he made a move to a team similar to where he is currently maybe for more money because he could not get the top tier teams in Europe to show concrete interest

ya I recall, Timo's deal to Bayern last season fall through but Werner did improve this season though.

About parked buses, is that why some are saying Timo won't be a CF for Chelsea, but a Left wing of better still a SS while Abraham or Giroud plays 9

It was just this January. Read below how Werner was literally begging Bayern and almost signing an undertaking

RB Leipzig star Timo Werner has responded to statements from Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic who said he isn't sure the 23-year-old would be a good fit for the German champions because he needs space to thrive.

Robert Lewandowski, on the other hand, is 'perfect' for Bayern's playing style because 'he has the ability to move in tight spaces and find excellent solutions with the ball,' said the Bayern boss.

However, speaking to Bild, Werner says he believes Lewandowski was quite similar to him as a player when he joined Bayern München from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.

"I think everyone are entitled to their opinion. But regardless of what he said, Bayern have players like Serge [Gnabry] and Kingsley [Coman] who use their speed on the wings to run in behind. He's obviously right about the fact that Lewandowski is a great striker and that they're very well-positioned up front. But I also think Lewandowski has changed his playing style over the years. He's playing in tight spaces at Bayern, but used to play quick-transition football under [Jürgen] Klopp at Dortmund," Werner said and added:

"Lewandowski used to be a type of player similar to me who moves in behind and switches quickly. Sure, when you get older, you might not be as lively as you used to be, but he still had to adapt to Bayern's philosophy and develop further, because they are much more on the ball.

"I can only speak about and for myself: I'm 23 and can still learn a lot of things. But in Leipzig, I have often shown that I can score against teams that defend deep and that I can move well in tight spaces," Werner said.

According to reports, Bayern could have snapped up Werner for just €25 million last summer thanks to a release clause, but chose not to.

you have come again with your accusatory post of begging.
can we also say Bayern were begging CHO to join them
