All the efforts to push Obaseki out and to replace him with the prominent thief Ize- Iyamu so that Oshiomole himself and his loyal Agbero Tony Kabaka will have access to Edo State revenue allocations.

I know y'all supporting Oshiomole aren't from the state. if you are from the state and you are in support of this, it means you are doomed and you are enemy of the state development and progress.

@bolded, having money and power of incumbency does not translate to having STRUCTURES to secure votes. You build structures by empowering people across board, and so long as they are aware you'd take care of them, they'd make sure they support you. Obaseki has no structure to swing votes for himself or the PDP. Which politician is backing him in Edo State? Which tout is backing him? Why has his deputy become mute? You saw him going to see Wike and Udom. Those two are politically valueless in Edo State.

I'd advise Obaseki not to run, but to stay in the APC and support a strong candidate in the PDP who has the structures to mull votes from APC.

Please who is the strong candidate in the PDP?

wahala,so when the governor was calling him names, threatning to deal with him ruthlessly, paying social media influncers to insult him, blocked the entrance to his house, sponsored thugs to attack him and humiliate him at the Benin airport, ask him to take permission from him before entering Benin, did all he could to get him sacked as the national chairman of the party, even came out in public to celebrate his temporal removal as national chairman, celebrating the loss of his party in court at the bayelsa Guber court case, I guess the governor wasn't petty then, he has balls.

That would be a serious gamble. The reason he was disqualified seems legit. Pdp going against that to select him to be their candidate will open the flood gate of litigations which will definitely end in favour of APC. Let him give up abeg. He didn't think clearly in the first place

Gov obaseki shot himself in the head. He drew the first sword by refusing to swear in 14 democratically elected law makers out of 24. Because of his desperation, he also refused the reconciliatory moves led by Gov ganduje as well as that of the National assembly intervention but now wants sympathy from people.
All these pdp crying on his behalf are only waiting for him to contest so that they can benefit from his removal by the court. A lazy party that is calculating on an error to be committed by the opposition so they can steal the seat again just like Bayelsa.

To be sincere, if am Governor Obaseki, i will sack all my special advisers. To be sincere, non of them have politics wisdom. Obaseki, that won past election by d help of a godfather, and he is fighting same godfather, and non of the special advisers can calm him down to stop it. What most people don't understand is, before obaseki becoming governor in the first place, i believe him and oshiomole would have signed some personal agreement which will be of benefit to oshiomole based on oshiomole help him to won the election 100%, but obaseki refused to honour such agreements. Even if obaseki wants to fight oshiomole coz of godfatherism stuff, he should have done that after securing the ticket for the second term when he is already assured that no one can unsit him again. Person never do 3years as governor, he don already dey fight person that carry hm matter for head to become a governor. All this people abusing oshiomole anyhow, i believe say if na una, una go do wetin worse pass wetin he do based on say the power still dey to teach obaseki a lesson.

I expected you to mention Kenneth Imasuagbon. Forgive me if I am wrong as I am not from Edo State.

That said, there is the power of media propaganda which has not been sufficiently deployed by the PDP even at the national level or even the state level. The APC used this (with Lai Mohammed was talking almost everyday) against the PDP in the buildup to the 2015 elections. PDP had no response as they had no skillful propagandist to counter the APC. Now, I expect the PDP to deploy heavy media machinery through local TV stations (ITV, NTA and EBS), Observer, markets, town hall meetings, bill boards and even drape their campaign materials on God is Good buses, Libra Motors, Efex, Comrade Buses and other transport companies. Now is the time to also start mobilizing campaign materials to the grassroots and empower key people that would swing the elections. Edo South brings more than 64.3% of the votes. So the PDP needs to secure Edo Central and Edo North and significantly split the votes in Edo South.

Does PDP have the financial muscle to do this? This is where Obaseki comes in.
