This tribal bashing is unnecessary sir. I have tried to study them and their perspectives on many political issues , including the reasons they accuse other of certain actions and I think their backgrounds and cultural worldviews project equality of everybody. My grouse with some of them is when they assume every Nigerian must operate according to these backgrounds and cultural worldviews as exemplified by their difficulties in accommodating dissenting opinions. Throwback:U have a problem no doubt about it. If u could write this length all because of the Igbo's,guy, u are mad! Seriously, this tribalism has eating deep into your bone marrow. Tomorrow, people like u would be shouting racism, while back home u don't like ur neighbours and family around let alone your fellow tribes men and women. Next time, use your head and stopped being a fool. Everyone seemed to be writing about Edo politics and u think u could divert attention. For Nigeria to be good, people like you should never be in that history because of the deep rooted hate you harbour in ur heart. Rubbish! |

Buhari was an incumbent President and the candidate of his party, he didn't decamp to APC few days before the Primaries. In established democracy, incumbent Presidents don't even go through primaries before their party give them tickets for re-election. Do you see anyone contesting against Trump for Republican ticket in the upcoming US Presidential election? How many incumbent Presidents in USA or India undergoes primaries before re-election? apokan200: |

Many of you just comment based on emotion without fully understanding the peculiarities of each situation. 1) No two elections are exactly alike. The Time ,The Place (States) and The Persons (the political actors) are different. 2) If Obaseki had decamped like Ortom about 6 months before the Primaries, his case would have been different. Who decamp to a major political party four days to the Primaries and is rewarded with a Governorship ticket? 3) The PDP are also studying the situations and it's implications both political and LEGAL implications. 4) You don't understand politics , especially Lagos State politics like Ambode, neither do you have his level of exposure, expertise or experience. You don't have access to the information he had and i seriously doubt it if you are wiser than him. goaldynboy: |

Many Nigerians don't really understand party politics. In Nigeria, it's the Political parties that contest for elections, the candidates are actually like captains of their parties' teams in the elections. The party has a right to determine who should be the captain of their team before going into the electoral contests. Swtbabyvee: |

Very good observation. After the defeat of Alh Atiku Abubakar, the North's consesus candidate in the PDP primaries of 2011, a journalist interviewed the then Gov Sule Lamido and asked why he didn't support the 'North's consesus candidate. Lamido replied that 'in established constitutional democracies, it's unthinkable that an incumbent President comes to the convention of his party and the party votes him out. If the party should do that, it means that the party has passed a vote of no confidence on itself'

|

Omalicharose:I think his message is not for Igbo but I think it's rather for Ipob and PDP zombies.. Who flood nairaland doing rubbish and rubbishing the image of a great tribe in Nigeria.. Many of the things in your own write I do support but you see that Lord part.. This generation of Ipob and PDP zombies have sold their republican nature for a plate of porridge.. Because as it is now they are always scrambling for which of the available looser to lord over them.. To the extent the get confused if they are to stick to ijaw master, Fulani, Igbo oreven yoruba at the moment they are scratching and thinking why not just adopt the edo master.. A tribe the have been insulting when the talk about Biafra how they leave them to yoruba and all but Ala in this moment I think Edo is now more important than South East states to them.. |

Throwback:You are wrong bro.. It is not a Tribe.. The tribe has alot of useful hardworking and intellectual beings who are busy with productive things outside nairaland.. But the tribe has also lots of riffraffs who love to ferment trouble online and offline due to idleness.. They end up giving themselves names like Ipo B and PD Pzombies (if you join the letters together na u know ooo).. This peoples work is to bring sham and disgrace to the great tribe.. But Sha its good you put them in their place.. Omo bros Sha you mouth bad ooo.. See finishing |
