You don't judge picture quality prowess from raw specs. Granted sensor and micro meter size matter in terms of light sensitivity, it doesn't make the final picture...

If you pit both phones, they have their good and bad sides:

The Mi 10 Pro is more consistent in daylight pics with more details, colors are more true to the scenery. S20 ultra has the slower AF system and its AI tends to smoothen skin tones sometimes

Night shots go to the s20 ultra, videos too. Telephoto and ultrawide quality make s20 stand out from the Xiaomi, as well as the selfie camera.

Then again Xiaomi has the better speaker/mic, faster charging/wireless and moreso better battery life. It also has the better design (subjectively).

Technically, s20 ultra has more strengths but that doesn't make the Xiaomi a loser. The price difference in the end may tip the user on what he/she wants.

This thread is just riddled with copy/paste numbers and quotes with no quality comparison. If you're serious about making a decision about both phones, this thread is shallow and won't help

I'm not an expert at the top end of the spectrum.

Here's my opinion.

The S20 Ultra packs a lot of features and pound for pound or toe to toe and will win any comparison.

I have to say that the such items as screen size for example, bigger isn't necessarily better. I have a VR glass for Smartphones so any phone I'm buying should not be bigger than 6.67" if not my VR will become useless. So a bigger screen for example isn't necessarily better. And shouldn't be given as a point.
The same goes for dimensions.

The mode important parts of a smartphone are the SoC, display, battery and cameras.

These are where you should lay emphasis on. Both the Mi 10 pro 5G and the S20 ultra 5G are on par here. But the S20 ultra will win even tho it'll be close. The gap is not as much as your results make it seem.

You gave the audience raw numbers but didn't explain how these numbers translate into performance.

iPhone 11 pro Max is a toy compared to Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra.
Samsungis way ahead in every features expect the video mode in which iPhone is really good at.
