Rubbish. If you're scoring 160 you aren't ready for university. Regardless of this low standard, if you score 160, you're unlikely to get admission with any self-respecting university because your mates are scoring well over 200.

Is it still same jamb exam for university admission and maximum score is supposed to be 400? If it's same, how can 160 be passmark? Sounds crazy, which means some people may get into medical school with like 170 depending on state of origin. shocked undecided
My guy leave that thing you talk so.Is it today you are hearing JAMB pegging it at 160 (40%)? Get 230 and see if you can gain admission into medicine .If when they pegged it at 180 years back, a friend of mine got 230+ .His name did not come out on merit list in Engineering..160 is for courses that you will study and won't see a job when you graduate

Lol. I am sure this is to favour northerners. Apply Unimaid with 325 and a Borno dude with 230 applies, he will get admitted before you.
Infact 9ja schools are overated and I can say this anytime. There is no pragmatic teaching per say. Get in, get a skill and get out. Very surprising when you see 180 getting first class and 320 getting 2nd class lower. So struggle no be by exam

Instead of increasing it to limit the number of idiots occupying space in public schools, they are reducing it to make the public university a gathering of clowns. Blackman has a perpetual contract with backwardness.

Truly spoken.In the university, I saw several persons who had 280+ in JAMB carrying Chem101 and 102 from 100L to 500L.Some managed to pass it in 400L first semester while others had extra year....
Also I met someone who got 160 and was admitted into EEE while people from the south that got 200 and above could not get it.

Probably you don't understand what the registrar implies do you? Universities can increase their cut off mark but can't admit candidate below 160
