Aint you tired of the year in,year out sequels of video games that really should have ended ages ago..e.g.the batman games,call of duty,resident evil,battlefield,fifa,pes..etc
There are so many past games that we really enjoyed on previous generation consoles,so many.
I will like to know if anyone out here shares my frame of thought/taste as well on Nairaland.
Let me start by listing games i will love to see on current consoles,in no particular order of preference.

1, battletoad
2, rival school
3, dino crisis
4, bloody roar
5, splinter cell
6, tenchu
7, street of rage
8, metroid
9, road rash
10, contra

Remakes doesnt necessarily means they have to make it in the same old format,what i actually had in mind was re-introducing and picking up the franchises of the listed games..all in 3D ofcourse.

Would love to see 1. Bare knuckle (sega) 2. Super tank (terminator) 3. Jungle book (....unknown...)

24, played it on PS 2, also The lord of the rings and Matrix, Rise to honour by Jet Li, all these were cool games on PS 2, and not to forget Jackie Chan on PS 1

I won't mind a Matrix reboot. Although, that Neo game was intense on your hands. I remember OPS2 doing a short piece on the game. They basically had a picture of one of the staff's hands exhibiting the 'claw'. I'll never forget that picture. Maybe, I'll find a pic of it online when I get back home.

Its funny cause I still like most of these games mentioned by the OP more than the new games.

No more remakes, abeg. We need fresh innovative games. Every Gen should bring something to the table instead of recyling old stuff.
SEGA and SNES owned the 2D side scrolling action-adventure games.
PS1 and Nintendo64 evolved to 3D, bringing memorable titles like 007 Golden Eye, Jackie Chan Stuntmaster, Syphon Filter, Tenchu, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, Tekken e.t.c
PS2 and XBox improved the graphics and brought games like GOW(God of War & Gears of War), Halo, Jak, Grand Theft Auto, e.t.c.
PS3 and XBox360 improved graphics as well and brought Uncharted, Fable, Forza, Infamous, Heavy Rain, Assassin's Creed, e.t.c
The current-gen should give us something new and stop wasting time and resources on remakes and remasters.

Get a good PS1 emulator for PC, I recommend Epsxe, install it, then you can continue from there.

You don't install the games, you just point the emulator to the game's location, then the emulator can run it. What format is the game in? Is it a BIN, CUE, CCD, IMG or ISO file?

Supported file formats - Image 1 & Image 2
Make sure there is a bios file (SCPH1001.bin) in the bios folder. You can search for the file on google if you don't have it - Image 3

Those games you mentioned are the ones that evolved to the present ones.
Contra = Tps/fps
Street of rage = hack and slash
Road rash = Blur/NFS/Crash
etc...

Come to think of it, Blur is a game I would want a 2nd sequel of

thank you so much sire! i got the emulator and it worked like magic! just go to the game through the emulator and select it and it starts playing! the only fly in my ointment is that the game works only via the keyboard...is there any way i can make the game play through the usb pad i use for soccer games?!! like the normal ps1 pad but with usb port plugged to the system?
im not so tech savvy so id really appreciate if you can walk me through it like you did with the ePSX....thanks big bro, i owe you big time

As long as your PC can detect your gamepad, making it work with Epsxe is possible. Perform the initial controller configuration as illustrated in the attached pictures.

After many months na now i see this message. For me the best emulator for classic games is Retroarch. You can config it to play all types of retro games with some extra functions but if u just want an emulator for ps one games just download PSX emulator (u can get it easily from Emuparadise website) then for the game ROM (iso files) you can always get it from retrostic website
