HOW DOES ESCROW WORKS?

Escrow is the use of a third party capable of holding assets on behalf of two parties who are in the process of completing a transaction. The asset could be money, funds, stocks etc. Thus, an escrow account is the third party account which holds the asset until the conclusion of a specific event or time.

In a nutshell escrow is the middle man between two transacting parties for instance if Mr A is buying a property worth 50k from Mr B, Mr A pays the money into an escrow account once he sees the said property and pleased with it he proceeds with the purchase of the said property once ownership is transferred to him the escrow releases funds to Mr B.

* In a situation where Mr A is not pleased with the said property like item is not as described he will be refunded full amount
* In a situation whereby in the course of inspection of the said property if a damage occurred from Mr A he will liaise with Mr B for a possible resolution.


ESCOW FEES

The escrow fee is 2% of the worth of the said item which will be covered by both transacting parties.
