Well,I am not a politician but if Obaseke can inaugurate house with seven 7 out of 23 member of house of Assembly, I think what Akeredolu needs now are 6 to 8 loyal member to carry out magic impeachment

I'm really curious about how this battle is going to turn out. Aketi has the upper hand but he seems reluctant to act. I don't really understand his actions so far concerning the deputy governor

Ondo is not Edo o. That won't work here unless Akeredolu wants to die. Ondo State people hate that kind of dirty politics. If he wants to impeach the guy, he will have to do it in a full house.

Not everyone is a tout like Obaseki. Aketi still remains an omoluabi

WHY ARE NIGERIAN POLITICS PUTING THEIR AIDES IN THE CENTRE OF THEIR DIFFERENCES OR MISUNDERSTANDING.

They should tell them to honourable resign because of the political situation instead of sacking them.

AKEREDOLU that read LAW to the highest level is even behaving like an Agberos.

The office of d deputy governor shld b scrap they have no function than to sit with their hand on their chin then collect fat salaries & allowances what do they need an aids for?a drain on public purse.

What exactly is Agbo’s endgame? He cannot get the PDP ticket and will he settle for Dgov when he wants to be governor? His political advisers are sleeping.

Also, there are so many funny comments here. Even people that don't know anything about Ondo politics are dropping their 2 cents. I cant laugh enough.

No all the entitlement and privileges accorded by any legislation CANNOT be withheld. If the defector is a legislator then he/she will immediately lose all his/her entitlement/privileges but that is not the case if the defector is a member of the executive arm. I modified my initial post for the purpose of clarity.

Just to educate you. Politicians do hate on one another. Thats why you see them sending hired killers to finish the jobs. Anyone who is blocking your source of livelihood is your enemy.

An ambitious man can kill for it. We have seen so many political wars.

They only settle after all is gone and paths crossed again and that's if such opportunity presents itself.

Politics in Nigeria is a do or die. Why would Obaseki try to remove Oshiomole as a party chair if not a momentary hating? Oba of Benin called for a peace brokerage, Obaseki didnt honour it. It is a pure hating at the moment.

Right now, Akeredolu and his deputy are hating on themselves. They might settle tomorrow.

In Atiku Abubakar v AGF & Ors the court held inter alia that the President CANNOT and DO NOT possess the power to declare the office of appellant vacant or to withdraw is security details. (Inclusive of all entitlement, privileges up to his security detail). While the court frown at floor crossing (decamping) however, when it comes to executive the court may register their displeasure but the individual floor crossing is protected because the constitution did not state any effect on floor crossing by executive but when it's legislature, the legislator who is floor crossing MUST lose his legislative seat although there are 2 exceptions that such a legislator won't lose his/her legislative seat.

Its obviously just flexing of muscles and trying to prove who's boss. I don't believe an SAN like Akeredolu will not be aware of this provision.

The claim was that they were invited to a meeting which none showed up, and the next thing was to sack? Haba!

the deputy is more powerful than the governor financially and the house members are not in good 5erms with the governor because of the N4.8billion and the insult from the governor's son incharge of the state IGR.
