Hello, please I want to know the tips on how to drive a non AC car during this rainy season. I once tried driving out when it was raining heavily but I couldn't see clearly due to the fog that has build up in the wind screens. Please how do I drive a non AC car during this season?

Pull off the road, park (in a safe place) put on the hazard and headlamps and wait till the rain subsides.

It is not safe to continue driving when your visibility is poor.

Not true.....car heaters tend to add to the fogginess of the windshield when it's raining..putting on the car heater during rainfall will reduce visibility to near zero

After all the fogginess is caused by the fact that the external temperature is lower than the temperature inside the car leading to condensing on the inside of the windshield..

For a car without ac, get those car window flaps...I don't know what they are called tho...they are made of transparent plastic and are attached above the vehicle window glasses..

These stuff kinda allow you roll your window down a bit without having rain enter the car, thus allowing cold air to enter your car and balance the temperature inside, and clear your windscreen..

Try and fix your AC Sha...its defrosting function can't be over emphasised....nothing beats crystal clear visibility during heavy rainfall

However, the heater element for the rear window does work in cases like this. but for the windshield, fan + window down a little can help too.

Turn on your fan, and set it so those vents close to the windscreen let out air.

I just read from a foreign forum now, the heater will definitely worsen the case, ordinary fan on windshield vent will do but AC is the best.

To what extent does the heater work in your Audi?

Turn on the heater and direct the airflow to the windshield. Also you have to crackdown your windows down a little bit on both sides so that fog doesn't buildup from the non circulation of air.

Always did it in my Dad's Benz Flatboot 230E

Which ones are inferior cars? Why do you classify the brand Infinity as inferior?

We forget that the defroster and heater are both meant for heating the windshield from inside so the snow outside can melt off.

Now that you are in the tropics, do you want to boil the rain water outside or bake yourself within the car's cabin

Crack open your windows and endure some cold splashes or grab your napkin and wipe the windshields.

1. AC heat will worsen your the fog.
2. Turn on FAN only to full blast 4.
3. Reset airflow vents to windshield ONLY.
4. Watch the fog gently dissipate.

Used it quite a lot.
