In the years of plenty, Nigeria didn't save a dime. I remember back then from 2001 to 2007, Nigeria had a wonderful economy. One barrel of oil was sold for about $110 in the international market. Nigeria didn't save a single dime. Now the country is paying for their indolence. Abeg if you sabi exit naija, do so for the sake of your kids and your sanity. Nigeria is a dead place. A lost cause. 1 Like |

What sort of hate speech is this na. Everyday it's bad news for Nigeria. Anyway, with how bad the economy already is, I don't think a 3.2% contraction would even be felt. Like, how bad could things possibly get. Most of these economic contractions and expansions only take place on paper and in records for poor undeveloped countries like Nigeria with no infrastructure to drive the economy. |

COZA: Nope. This is not Buhari. This is a problem which we had coming. Even Buhari couldn't have prevented it. Our oil dependency has tanked our economy. We refused to diversify the economy and we are paying the price for that. |

insperyadyou: Yes, they are but they wouldn't fall into recession because they have smart people in high places including their president for an economy sound, unlike the illiterate president who doesn't know anything and all he does is depend only on oil money. The governments of these countries and many others gave their citizens money which they are spending on the economy again and as a matter of fact, TRUMP is already thinking about the second and bigger stimulus for the citizens so they can spend more. Thant's why having a smart leader and administrations with the good economy team make different at a time like this. |
