It's no longer news that the former Governor of Oyo State south-west Nigeria and Senator, Abiola Ajimobi, died on Thursday having been on a life support machine at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos. He slipped into a coma following complications from COVID-19 infection. Since then, his friends and family across the world have been mourning him. One of those is Khloe Kardashian's bestie, Malika, who referred to Ajimobi as "God daddy" while mourning his death. In an Instagram post, the American actress and television personality wrote alongside some photos:

"My heart is broken. This earth has lost one of the most amazing spirits I have ever known. I will miss you forever. Thank you for loving me as one of your own. You are a leader in every way. I will teach my son of your love, kindness and family values. To my Ajimobi family, your angel has taken his rightful place IJN. I love you God daddy. Rest In Peace ��"

True..but then I'm thinking, it's one of the dilemmas of being a politician. If you've had a great career before you go into politics and you happen to get elected, any show of opulence won't be attributed to your career again, it'd be seen as a way of misusing public funds. And as Nigerians, we have all reasons to be like this.
