Almost everyone at one point or the other experience itching after every bath. This is not a health condition that should get you alarmed and agitated, even though so many people have exaggerated it.

One of the most common cause of itching especially after a bath, is the dryness of the skin. It's also important to note that dry air, hot water, and some soaps can really reduce some of the most needed essential oils, and nutrient needed to keep the skin healthy, making it dry and thereby resulting to itching.

When your skin becomes dry, it becomes overly sensitive and cause itching, I'm some cases, it can become very serious. No matter how serious this condition may be, you can control it and stop it.

Here are ways you stop this itching condition after a bath;

1. Always try to pat your body dry instead of toweling or rubbing off water from your body. This will help retain moisture on your body. So, try not to clean off all the water on your body after every bath.

2. Apply your moisturizer on your skin while your body is still wet. This will help retain moisture in your skin and block openings that can result to itching. And try to use moisturizers that are oil free and less harsh especially if your skin is prone to acne.

3. If you constantly experience itching after a bath and without any rash on your skin, then it's time for you to change your soap. Go for soaps that are mild, with less hypo allergic contents. Moisturizing soaps have the capacity to reduce dry skin symptoms.

4. You also have to change the pattern in which you take your bath. Don't take long steamy showers as you may be causing your skin to become parched. Go for short shower time with moderate water temperature and your skin will look healthy without itchiness.

5. Take advantage of essential oils as part of your bathing pattern. When you dilute essential oil particularly with almond oil or jojoba oil, the itching symptoms will be reduced and completely eradicated.

6. Always drink water more often, at least eight cups of water or more every day. This would keep your skin hydrated especially if you have a dry skin.

This thing made me dread bathing with soap as in my body itches so bad after bathing that it sometimes draw water from my eyes till I found the cure. The cure is, the moment I finished bathing, robbed my body dry, I quickly wear shirt n trouser n take a little walk of of the compound n come back. No itch again

I thought it was my sponge itching me so I soaked it in hot water but the itching continued, I then suspected the tank to have gotten dirty and after it was washed thoroughly, the itching still didn't stop.
I later discovered that it was mosquitoes bite that causes mine.

I don even meet doctor sef, he gave me malaria medicine and vitamin c, after malaria medicine don finish, body still dey scratch me .

Later, one of my Papa friend say the thing been do am when he young. He said once the itching start, he dey use run comot am .

Since then, If I bath finish, I go wear boxer start dey run round compound .
