Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, says he is not nursing an ambition of running for the office of the President of Nigeria in the 2023 general election. Wike’ s clarification when he appeared as a Guest on Arise Television came on the heels of speculations that he was eyeing the Number One position in the country. The governor described speculations linking him to presidential ambition as distractions. “ Right now , I am focusing on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Rivers State ,” he said. https://punchng.com/2023-im-not-running-for-president-says-wike/ |

![]() It's evidence that PDP is surreptitiously projecting a northern candidate for 2023. None of the southern PDP politicians is eyeing the most covetous seat of the Nation. It's sad to adduce that the North will hold on to power for many years to come, if the division in the south lingers. Sometimes I ask myself, how could the wits of the Nation be pussywipped and henpecked into political servitude by the egregious dimwits of Nation Nairaland is a case study; All the banters and fights are usually amongst the supposedly southern wits, which has further fuelled the division amongst themselves, whilst the supposedly dimwits secludedly play the real politics in order to further subjugate the supposedly wits into political slavery. So, tell me, is that not paradoxical to say the least?? |

vicdom:Some particular people across the Niger says, instead of voting for a Yoruba man, they'll rather vote for a Northern. This same particular people are crying over the gas being transferred to North. This same people, are crying over low government infrastructures in their region. Abeq, let everyone continue to vote for north, but no one should dare cry of marginalisation or complain if all the wealth of south is being transferred to North. ![]() Simple. |

Mazigabriel:Well, my point is, no southern should complain if northerners continue to share, slots, positions among themselves, transferring of southern resources to the north, very soon self they'll headed NDDC. |

Sammy07:Is there any possibility for a solution before 2023? Cos honestly, by default (owing to the disunity in the South), the presidency would most likely be retained in the North. Beyond 2023, it may still remain the same way if Southerners continue this way. |

Emma1Oj:on point because the south are so divided among themselves, that is why the North call them useful idiots and use them to achieve their political aim; as in the case of Amechi |

The southerners destroyed their own ruling party chairman, now we have northerners on the seat, I hope we will not shut marginalize |

Nigeria is really messed up. The havoc borne by the emergence of a semi-illiterate and bigot is still being felt, now a tout too wants to become president. The other time it was another tout,in a former governor that was speculated to be nursing a presidential ambition. It only remains for a certified mad man to also be speculated to be having presidential ambition. It's no surprise though. After all if Buhari can be president, the bar can not go any lower. |

If u know him very well, u will agree with me that he's saying the truth. He's always blunt worded unlike that brown-teeth coward that was quick to deny his dead presidential ambition even when not asked. |
