They always try breaking their opponents defence using tiki-taka and that consumes energy, especially when they have to track back very fast during a counter. A mid fielder like rakitic can do that but he's not permitted. They prefer to waste precious energy.

I don't know if it's FC Barcelona too much reliance on Messi also known as Messidependencia or just cluelessness. During the days of Xavi and Iniesta Barça's midfield was a threat just like the attack unlike the present Barça team

Barca's style of play is so unproductive. If a club knows how to defend well, barca hardly score more than 2 goals and usually concede.

Also, pique needs to leave. A replacement for him should have started being discussed. I know they wanna keep him like madrid kept ramos but ramos even in old age is still better than this current pique. But until then, barca has no better substitute.
