Idion Celebrates Dein of Agbor on 43rd Birthday Anniversary

Executive Assistant to the Delta governor on Political Matters (Non Indigenes ) and renowned community leader Rtn Peter Idion has Congratulated His Majesty , Dr Benjamin Ikenchukwu Keagborekuzi 1 , De Dein of Agbor Kingdom on the occasion of his 43rd Birthday anniversary .

In a Congratulatory message in Agbor, Idion described De Dein of Agbor Kingdom as modern traditional leader divinely ordained by God Almighty.

"The Dein of Agbor was not just a king but a modern traditional leader divinely ordained by God Almighty to lead the ancient Agbonigidi Clan and humanity in general to the discovery of essentiality of life.

The birth of the globally respected monarch in 1977 changed the aura of traditional leadership across the globe making history in the Guinness book of world records as the youngest monarch in the universe."

Speaking further Peter Idion noted that the Dien has brought honour to the ancient kingdom of Agbor

"Baba, Doo Dein, Doo Dein , your rein as our esteemed king and Paramount ruler has tremendously transformed our existence as a people gifted with respected culture and tradition , your exploit as a Chancellor of the University of Illorin and other International engagements has brought honour and glory to our ancient Kingdom ; on behalf of my family, companions and non indigenes ." he said while praying for his Majesty.

Happy birthday to my King o kiss

Obi doo dein!
Doo dein!!
Ni ino yenï o

Meanwhile, he needs to abolish the rule that says a Queen cannot remarry. His mum should be allowed to remarry if she chooses to rather than...killing goats every time undecided

No one should tell me about one archaic tradition o. If a King can have as many wives as he wants and even remarry after the death of one or all, then, the same tradition or deity should be kind enough to allow the Queens remarry too after the King's demise.

Thank you!!!

Lol. That will be tough nut to crack. The queen remarrying is interpreted as an insult to the memory of the departed King. Even if she's allowed to do so, she has to drop the royalty automatically. I doubt she'd like this either. So killing goats will continue indefinitely.
Kingship is a very technical position. Power is very essential if you want to be relevant. Power vacuum is very dangerous for any royalty. If she was strong enough to have jumped into the shoes of her husband immediately after his death, she could have held the throne for her son and enjoyed herself without having to apologise to anyone. Since she couldn't do so for any reason, we'd have to budget for the goats. Nne-Obi is a human too.

It is okay to subjugate the woman to such absurd and wicked tradition rule created by men at her emotional and psychological detriments but an insult to a DEAD king when the dice is tossed?!

Africa, especially Nigeria, has a long way to go.

I guess so(even though I don't subscribe to such) as the rules don't favour widows in this part of the world.

While it's true that widows are not given a free hand in this part of the world, we all know what's up. It's the same thing in most parts of the world excluding the Western world.
However, her situation is the same all over the world. Once a queen, you can't remarry. It's not a thing of tradition. The stool has to be respected. What will her new husband be? A king? A husband of a queen without title? Will they live in the palace or will she go to his home and abandon the palace? Think of it. Some positions come with a huge price.
It's either we look the other way and let sleeping goats lie or we continue killing them as atonement. Lol.
HRH Obi Ikenchukwu, Happy birthday to you. Kanka o!
Nne-Obi anam ekene o!

It was his personal choice. I think it's the usual penchant of Igbos desire for uniqueness. His father's title was Obi but he changed it.
