Is the Doctor registered with the board?
Is the Doctor performing an approved procedure in line with her qualification and expertise?
Under what condition are the procedures performed?
Are there enough trained and competent staff on ground to assist during such procedures?
Does the Doctor disclose the risk versus benefit to patient?
Does the Doctor have the consent of the patients?

If the answers to these questions are yes, then standards were not compromised.

That is one area of medicine in Nigeria with potential for so much growth. It is still very fallow.

Any doctor that can create the framework in terms of standards and practice would be a billionaire.

If I were a doctor, that is what my aim would be.

Ladies, read the cosmetic surgery contract before you sign it. RIP to the dead, it's painful life was lost. Sentiment apart, if Dr Anu is qualified to practise and she can prove that the lady didn't die out of negligence, she will easily win this case. People die during surgery or complications after surgery everywhere in the world. Our former President's wife, Stella Obasanjo died in an advanced country, Spain during a tummy tuck surgery.

She should be remanded in the psychiatric hospital... such people are mentally unstable and insane. You go and set up shop to do cosmetic surgery when you are not specialized in it. That is a very complicated specialization that needs very good skills. People go to school for many years and training to acquire expertise in it. She has even killed people. She should never be allowed to go free ever.
