This name reminds me of my very good friend, with whom I studied Civil Engineering at ATBU Bauchi, Engr Williams Muhammed. The combo was always funny and strange then but I later got used to it. I guess, just like my friend, the man may have reverted back to Islam from a Christian background.

I also have another friend Abubakar Chimezie, who also reverted to Islam.

The first I think reverted back to Christianity, bc he has surname of Islam and English name as first name.. I have several of them here whose parents were Muslims but they converted to Christianity and retain their Islamic surname
