After colluding with the british govt. to give power to the north whom he ostensibly loathed, the least zik could have done was to allow the inclusion of a secession clause into the country's constitution. Nigeria's independence was a farce if the new nation will still be administer in the background by their former colonial master. Zik knew our new found independence was nothing but essentially neo-colonialism but notwithstanding went along with the whole charade, adorning himself in the pseudo garb of nationalism. What a nationalist! Very typical of African nationalists of his era-with great propensity to sell off their own people to the slave master for personal gain. No wonder he called himself "the beautiful This was the same sell-out that was grandstanding all over our political hemisphere, assaulting our eardrums with his incongruous chant; "Pan Africanism"...................... whilst he wallow in the pockets of his slave master. 1 Like |

ericuzor:I watched the video all through (even though i have seen it before) and nowhere did it referred to awo, dying a sad man. However, it did say that Awo was a principled man with a brilliant mind hence feared by the colonial govt whilst zik was vain and can be easily bought which they did. 2 Likes |
