In the 4 years that Sarri spent in Napoli, he consistently came second in the league. Only once he came third.

This is Serie A that has the two Milan clubs and Roma, Lazio etc...

Only Juventus (And Roma once) top Sarri all through his stay in Napoli.

Are you telling me that Napoli was not punching above their weight?

Please stop being biased just to push your agenda going. Napoli (under Sarri) is in Italy what Tottenham (under Pochettino) is in England.

And what do you mean by the bolded in your comment? Tell me you were just joking... Which one is that they were minutes from lifting the league? Is it the league Leicester gave them 9 clear points? The league Tottenham finished third behind Arsenal? Which kind of ridiculous line did you type there?

I don't think he's biased .His comment was from an informed position.
How would you compare Pochettino to Sarri ?
Do you know what it takes to get to the final of the UEFA Champions league?
His team gave Leicester and Chelsea a good run towards the league championship in 2015 and 2016 with the array of young players he had at his disposal.
That's not a small feat.

Oga, abeg relax. I see you know so much about Sport. lol. At 32 he is still an asset to any team and will certainly give even the younger ones a good run.
His defensive shift covers for his "lack of goals" and this is the same thing Lamps sees or any other coach for that matter. You shouldn't expect the same player to be at both ends of the pitch at the same time and with the same output. If you've ever played football before you would know.

Whether he stays or leave, he has served the team well.

Good news is that you have zero say in his contract. cheesy
His defensive shift covers for his lack of goals. OK.

I didn't know Willian was a fullback.

However, Far be it from me to want any Chelsea player to do badly because I eat to say I told you so on Nairaland.
If he signs a new contract, I'll support him, as any sensible fan would. That doesn't mean I don't want him out. For comparison to and check Raumdeuter and his constant criticism of Ribery between 2016 and 2019.

If you could pick one player between Havertz and Sancho who would you pick to sign this summer? And why
Havertz. Sancho is English so you never can tell his progression if he return to his country, english media are there too to hype him which will deteriorate his talent and become a big problem for the team as a result of his signing fee and quota.

https://www.nairaland.com/5971541/why-when-did-start-supporting

I know that In Europe where football is cultural, many football fans support their clubs due to both their locale and most times heritage. But for us here, there must have been some unique reasons why we chose to support our club over others.

Ibime, timbros, hensben, nihilist, larride, blueraydick etc. What was your major reason for supporting Chelsea?

Lampard on Pulisic: “The next step for him is more end product, more goals and more assists but in this small restart, he’s already showing that and he looks great. He’s had his injury problems but I’m very happy with him."

Pulisic’s form since the restart:

Vs Aston Villa- [1 goal]
Vs City - [1 goal]
Vs West Ham - 1 penalty and set piece won [2 goals]
Vs Watford - 1 penalty won [1 goal]

I hope his injury problems are over permanently. cool

Crystal Palace - Chelsea

Lampard starts with an injury update ahead of Palace: 'Kante won't be in the squad - he has a low-level hamstring injury so it will be a week or so hopefully.' Kovacic trained today but will also be unavailable tomorrow, as will Tomori.

Frank believes Manchester United are the biggest threat from behind us in the table as they have plenty of quality individual players and are gaining momentum. However, he states our emphasis remains on us and our performances.

Lampard reports that Jorginho has been very professional and trains well every day despite not having featured since the restart. He says the tactical reasons behind team selection remain between him and the players.

Lampard believes Ruben Loftus-Cheek can contribute in the coming weeks but will really be aiming to hit the ground running next season after another mini pre-season to bolster his fitness.

On Barkley : 'I’m delighted with him and his attitude has been first class.' Clapping hands sign

Frank finishes by answering a question on comparisons between Pulisic and Hazard: 'Eden has been here and done it to an incredible level. Christian is taking responsibility to change games and has a lot of development to come.'

Stop sounding ridiculous...

So more goals only end up in losing? You conviniently typed 3-4 forgetting 5-4, 7-6, 4-3 etc.... Abi.

If goals isn't important, I wonder how the wins will come about.

Fabregas and Costa delivered EPL to us doesn't mean that others were useless. It only means that their goals and assists played a major role (you can call it lion share) that season.
where did you read from my post that goals are not important?

You are the one downgrading the importance of a good midfield and defense because you want to push the agenda of the ones who score the goals and those that got assists are they most important people in the team. That is what I'm trying to correct.

Let for people like you, Kante wouldn't have been recognised as our best player in 2017 title win, because he does not have any goals and assists that win titles according to you.

Salah scored 32 goals in 2018 yet he could not deliver a spoon for Liverpool, but you us to believe that some who scored 20 goals and another with 12 assist delivered a title.

See yourself nah.

I don tell you. Make una no dey use bogus terms for here.

Lion share. Na so both Salah and Mane take 22 goals last season with many lion share (according to you) yet nothing to show for it.

Make una no dey overhype this goal something for here.
Clean sheets/less goals conceded per match play as much role as goals in a title win.

On a serious note, do we have any chance of signing Kai Havertz if the likes of Madrid and Bayern were to go in for him?
According to some reports, he might cost in excess of £70M. For his age, that price tag might really affect his settling down at the club as ppl would expect instant impact from him...

First and foremost, show where i said Conte failed at Chelsea because he wasn't given Lukaku. Same Lautaro that peaked this season, all thanks to Conte who gave him the opportunity. Eriksen that signed for inter January here. Can your pep win even four games with those free transfers and washed up players at inter milan. Same Lukaku wey Rashford dey bench before been sold by a struggling man u.

Morata’s ability was skeptical to most Chelsea fans pre-signing him. The board was to blame that season because they didn’t want to spend hugely on Conte’s first choice(Lukaku).

Well Bayern aint going for him, so maybe Madrid but it looks like he would pick Chelsea as it ia rumored he wants to play in EPL, but apart from that he may pick Madrid.

Well he has Germans in Chelsea, Rudiger and Timo his reported friend, and Christensen speaks German as well as Pulisic who made the move and it's been good. Players like this will help him settle and Lampard self with the way he has handle players Havertz may just settle down well if he signs.

Didn't Napoli give Juventus a good run all the 4 years Sarri spent there? If not that Juventus is in a class of their own in Italy, Napoli would have won at least one Serie A.

Pochettino in Tottenham....

15/16 season 3rd
16/17 season 2nd
17/18 season 3rd
18/19 season 4th

Sarri in Napoli...

15/16 season 2nd
16/17 season 3rd
17/18 season 2nd
18/19 season 2nd

Please which of the two coaches did better?

No other team won the Serie A with Sarri in charge of Napoli, bar Juventus. And we know that Juventus are in the class of their own in Italy.

Don't rubbish someone because, maybe, you don't like his brand of football.

Edit: Sarri left Napoli 2018. He coached 3 seasons there actually.
