Buhari himself can't head every parastatals in Nigeria, he still needs to appoint some people in strategic position. Even if it is your brother you give some level of trust you can be betrayed. it is unfair if we blame Buhari for Magu's undoing, where you should blame Buhari is when he use his influence to probe Magu but I doubt that, this is the first time an arm of presidency(DSS) will probe another arm of presidency (EFCC), and the probe is made publicly. This is the kind of institution we dream for our dear country, hopefully when he's charged the Court will hasten up and pass judgement as required without technical error as they did on OUK. God bless Buhari for the institution he's building, first time a government is probing his people without waiting for another government to come and probe his people.

Change should actually begin with us if we truly want the Nigeria of our dream, we need to build a strong institution. President alone can't do it, he alone can't become the minister, permanent secretary, contractor, EFCC chairman, DSS boss etc, he still needs people to carry out this responsibility on his behalf. Most of us are not saint either, we're only waiting for the opportunity to present himself.

“Accountability for our actions or inactions is an inalienable part of democracy. In such an elevated position as that of EFCC Chairman, the holder of the position must be above suspicion.

“There’s no prejudgment — absolutely none. The Buhari administration can be counted on to uphold fairness and justice at all times.”

A presidency source had earlier confirmed that Magu was on Tuesday afternoon suspended from office; following the ongoing investigation by the presidential panel, headed by retired Justice Ayo Salami.[/quote]Trashed

you can't expect PMB to act on every allegations na, evidence must be provided and it is thorough investigations that can't be done. Am sure his present arrest was due to the overwhelming evidence presented to the President, reasons he hasn't been elevated from acting to full time might be connected to the investigations going on about him. His arrest will still leave a void at the EFCC and another person have to act in his capacity which am sure the person won't be clean and the hustle continue. CHANGE REALLY NEED TO START WITH US

Your first and second point must have been the reason behind his investigation which led to his suspension. You might be right with the third point and who makes up the institution? is it not people like us? until we people decide we want to make it work, institution will just remain as a name.
