I wonder why most people are surprised about the allegations against Magu, a crass and expedient personality. His kind doesn't get worse because he already personifies the worst.

tell yourself the truth, have you being involved or an accomplice in anything that can be termed as "backdoor way" or not outrightly just and right? I see many if not everyone do acts that are not right in a normal day in Nigeria that has been normalized. But we end up calling the ones on top corrupt because it involves Millions but in reality is there any difference...people involve in acts not right in common days activities still end up going up there and stealing Millions... My point is are you very pure yourself, this one you are demanding capital punishment for corruption...are you sure when the cane is wiped in all totality it won't get to you ?

Dele Momodu is a man with double faces, or what is called hypocrite. He seems to eat from both hands.

We don't need a truth detector to confirm to us that Magu is a hardened criminal, judging from the institution that groomed him - the Nigerian Police Force, NPF where SARS and other men in black uniform reside as their safe abode.

What the law makers saw almost 5 years ago, it took General Buhari a decade to see same. grin

Funny enough, the president actually knew Magu was corrupt. He refused to replace him despite all cries of his criminal tendencies because, himself was a benefacto!
EFCC and other government agencies like NNPC funded the 2019 presidential election. No political party is a saint in Nigeria.

If only our youth can rise and challenge the status quo, we may forever be under the shackles of corrupt and inept leaders.

. Who are those that will make law for the capital punishment? Are they not law makers? Assuming that you're lawmaker and you enjoy from the looting government can you make let that will send you to Earl grace? Capital NO. The only solution is to elect a radical leaders like Major Genera Tunde Idiagbo, Chief Gani Fawehinmi or Fela Anikukapo Kuti else you are just wasting your precious time on Nigeria as a country.

Not enough, need more.
Corruption, serious fraud, bribery = Death Penalty
Hard Drugs = Death Penalty
Rape / Sexual Abuse = Death Penalty
Physical abuse of house slaves, factory workers, employees = 5 years jail (if done by foreigners, forfeit their investment and deportation)
Fake pastors = 5 years jail

Lack of Commonsense (affecting 99% of Nigerians) = I am open to suggestions grin

This Magu fellow has met his deserved end. He is a crass and uncultured fool. He thought he was above the law forgetting he was just a pawn in the hands of his paymasters.

I remember at the height of the interstate lockdown, Magu and his massive convoy, drove against traffic (one way as we call it) on the express from Nasarawa to Abuja.

He was stopped by the task force appointed by the governor and headed by an LGA chairman. They insisted his convoy obeys the law and turns back.
He said how dare a common LGA chairman talk to him like that.

His thuggish officers proceeded to fight with the soldiers and mopol on duty, trying to force themselves through. He only turned back when they resisted him and he saw passersby were using phones to video the incident.

In his impunity he ordered his thugs to seize people's mobile phones, again the soldiers on duty resisted. Before Magu gave up and turned back to the right traffic way.

This is a man who was supposed to be impartial and follow the rule of law. He was just a symbol of the madness and lawlessness that comes from the Nigerian Police, and he deserves very this public humiliation. He had it coming

I tried to read everything but I ended up quitting
It’s too damn long
Those who were patient enough to read should summarise to lazy readers like myself

These are Dele's points.

1.) The head of EFCC can only be truly independent if he is appointed by an independent body like the Senate, possibly from a short list of 3 to 5 candidates nominated by the Police Commission and not the Executive. This police officer should spend only one term in office and must be absorbed back into the police force upon the completion of his tenure.

2.)The head of EFCC should not be appointed based on ethnicity, religion, quota system, zoning, Federal character, gender balancing, godfatherism, nepotism and all such nonsense.

3.) The EFCC should formulate a standardised approach to fighting crime. They should stop going after alleged criminals as if it is a personal vendetta. Alleged crimes should be investigated critically and diligently before approaching the courts. The EFCC should stop being the accuser, prosecutor and Judge rolled into one.

I hope the summary helps.

Re: Before The Crucifixion Of Ibrahim Magu By Dele Momodu by Wize1: 3:57pm On Jul 11, 2020
Dele Momodu should go and rest! His half clever views are always motivated by the loyalty to those that pay him at the minute. You hated Ribadu because they invaded your paymaster Adenuga’s house . You are still bitter at Magu because of the long running battle with Saraki ( and he is your guy). Castigates the fact that politicians who appoint the Head of EFCC influence their performance—- but then went ahead to propose that:

“In my view, the head of such an agency can only be truly independent if he is appointed by an independent body like the Senate”

Does this even make sense to you? Blinded by the bribe you receive, you conveniently forget that that the senate is an arm of govt like the executive too, headed by extremely corrupt politicians, but according to you they will offer independence. The same Nigerian senate?

You are not different from the politicians you castigate please! Long throat.
