This may be partly true. But I think Lampard can't be solely blamed for our defensove woes this season, considering the fact that Kepa is a major weak link as Chelsea's last line of defense.

Courtois was definitely a better keeper for Chelsea than Kepa and helped reduce the number of goals conceded (and defeats as well, I think) during Sarri's stint at the club.

We've accepted our fate before this season started that we cannot achieve anything this season.

We should have stayed in 7th/8th position calmly like Arsenal, but this club decided to whine us with 4th position for 10 months, only to lose out with 3 games to go.

The club promised Lampard time to build his squad, I hope they fulfill that promise this time around irrespective of how the season ends.

Even if we don't qualify for the champions league, we must stand by Lampard. We knew what we wanted by signing him despite his inexperience.

Guardiola went trophyless in his first season at mancity. Kloop also didn't qualify for the champions league in his first season and went trophyless for 3. But now both teams have become super powers in world football.

We have to stick to a manager for the long term.. No matter what happens, Lampard must remain.
