One sub is not enough to destroy the whole Nigerian navy, I will admit the South African army is stronger and more capable, but Nigeria has the power of numbers, so in ground warfare, Nigeria would just overrun South African troops, in the air, it’s a different story, but our air defense capabilities are strong we could bring down 10 of your fighter jets and as for the submarine, I don’t know how we can defend against it.

1 South African navy Sub was enough to sink an entire NATO fleet with extensive anti submarine capability..............The Nigerian Navy has 0 and I literally mean 0 anti submarine capability. The only ship you had with that capability was NNS Aradu.

Secondly your army also has 0 SAM capability, the last SAMs you had were Roland systems that have long been decommissioned and would be absolutely useless in any case against modern 4+ gen fighters like the Gripen.

Thus you have no means to stop our airforce or Navy..........however I would agree that South Africa has nowhere near the capability to invade and occupy a country has large and powerful(relatively speaking of course) as Nigeria.........Not even Egypt would be able to successfully invade and occupy Nigeria

When it comes to war , Nigeria will beat South Africa . having equipment and having numbers with expertise waiting for weapons are different. Cause if the latter gets her armoury stacked then the former is finished.

depends on what you are buying.... Usually if its complex equipment like ships, fighters, tanks, helicopters ect ect it literally takes years.

Then factor in training, maintenance, possible sanctions ect ect that time increases... Nigeria ordered 3 Jf17 fighters 3 years ago and yet they are only being delivered by the end of the year, your super Tucano ordered 2 years ago is only being scheduled to arrive in 2021 with last unit being delivered in 2023

That's why being self sufficient and building your own is always the best..... And everybody knows SA has the best local defence industry by a country mile
