The National working committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has accused the River State Governor, Nyesom Wike of meddling in the politics of Ondo State. A source within the party NWC disclosed that, Governor Wike has been over stepping his bounds by interfering with the ongoing efforts of the governorship appeal committee duly constituted to oversee the delegate lists ahead of the party’s primaries. This move, the source disclosed further was engineered to favour his preferred candidate by influencing the committee members to do his bidding at all cost ahead of the primary slated for July 22nd. Recall that the NWC appointed former governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo, as chairman of the state governorship appeal committee. The committee is mandated to consider appeals arising from the conduct of the ward congresses for the upcoming 2020 governorship election in the state. 1 Like
