This was a bad decision by the Yoruba leaders. Those people you pitied then are ungrateful forever

I sincerely agree with you my brother. If Chief Awolowo and Mobolaji Johnson had known that this is how ungrateful these people would be, they would have seized them all together and even stopped them migrating to the SW. They are bunch onf ingrates

Our brothers from the East can't fight this, though they're still very much UNGRATEFUL

“During the Civil War, when the Igbo went home, Governor Mobolaji Johnson looked after their property for them. Rents were in the banks and when they returned, their money was given to them to start life all over again.
“That is a fact. But the property they left in Port Harcourt were taken over by their neighbours and it took several years before some of them were returned to the owners.

Despite this, we're still being called names. To the extent that The late sage (Chief Obafemi Awolowo) kind gesture towards them concerning the 20000 pounds was seen as an ill treatment to them.

“We have demonstrated that we are the most accommodating, we are the cementing culture in Nigeria. So, there is no way we can secede. This is our home."

very correct... the Yoruba people are the one still keeping this nation together. if all southwest come together and say they want to leave Nigeria it will happen fast than the south east... but the north knows this, that is why they will always keep the south west close to them.

Who told this one that middle belt wants to stay in Nigeria ?

Only Yoruba and fulanis want one Nigeria ....

Yorubas dream is to one day replace fulanis

You are one of the mumus we have here. And what is Biafra's dream when they fielded Peter Obi as vice prsidential candidate to another fulani man? Is it not to replace another fulani man after his tenure? You are too dumb

That super glue MUST be melted out and allow the nation to chat a new course.
You can't hold it down forever and that accommodating issue is not true, everyone come to ur zone to hustle, no one were given money to start a business.

On the part that you handed Igbos their properties back is wholeheartedly commendable.

You can only go and hustle in a place that is accommodating and friendly.

If local Yoruba militias like the Agbekoya start a systemic cleansing of foreigners from Yorubaland, do you think you'd still be able to hustle there?

If the people of that region refuse to sell land to outsiders like the Igbos do in the east, would you forcibly go and collect land?

It's obvious that non Yorubas don't know exactly what they are enjoying in Yorubaland.

They will...soon enough.

So your own 'non-ethnic selfishness', otherwise 'sense of unity' is leaving Jonathan and his goats to continue eating our yam? Are you so quick to forget how much in billions of dollars Alison Madueke stole under the nose of Jonathan? We should have left that ineptitude to continue at the detriment of the nation, thats your definition of unity, right?

I just hope that you are not dreaming of enjoying the same gestuure Chief Awolowo and Johnson extended to your family after the war when you secede this time. I have been telling Igbos that care to listen that you guys should be preparing your land before seceding because you and your family will not be allowed to come back to any part of Yoruba land. No one will allow you to eat your cake and still have it. It will never happen. You are free to take all your properties back to your land. Yorubas of today are not as gentle as Awolowo's era. We will enforce our own law and rules to give all our land back to our people. Any Yoruba in your land will be asked to come back home. A word is enough for the wise

you said 20000 pounds, does it mean you are ashamed of mentioning the correct amount which is 20 pounds given to every igbo man by awolowo no matter the amount of money they had in the bank, to me though being ashamed of that action by your fathers is an improvement from people like you who still gloat till today about the way igbos are treated in nigeria.
I am not contesting anyone being a glue but much will depend on the reason anyone decides to be a glue,
but one reality no one should forget is that whether anything is glued together or molded together if they keep falling, they break. I feel that what this person should be talking about now is how to prevent what made a person turning into glue without forgetting the good uses of the glue (of cause)

I tell you. Even though we know our cantankerous brethrens in the North are oblivious to the current world and development going on, and hence always ready to go the direction of where their leaders direct them like a senseless cattle, we can't shy away from the fact that Jonathan had a very good chance to prove that down South, we're all more enlightened and development-oriented, BUT HE BLEW IT WITH IS UTTER INEPTITUDE, and his terrible body language to the criminals he allowed to tide our affairs.

Brotherly, I hail you.

Agree with everything you say about Falae. As for Awo, for all of what he did for our people, I continue to hold him to high esteem and he continues to be the benchmark for all leaders.

However, I believe his missteps are a part of what led us to where we are today.

AreaFada2:

The elite are so far removed from reality that they cannot feel how this nation continues to spiral into the abyss. His name will secure his kids and grandkids privileges in Nigeria.

I thought his kidnap by herdsmen would have taught him a lesson about the failed state Nigeria is. PA Awo would not sit down and tolerate and the killings and raping by herdsmen in SW.
