Hello guys! Pls, am seeking for advice. I have known this nice lady who is HIV positive for 7 years now. She takes her drugs religiously and doesn't joke with her hospital appointment which is 6 months apart. She is a first liner and the drug is in a small blue container which she takes once daily.

The issue at hand now is that I had unprotected sex with her thrice last week. Am scared of contacting the virus now. Please house am I at risk?

We all make mistakes my brother. I know you're feeling down but God still loves you enough to pick you up. This is my advice:

Do not do that again. Summon courage and go for a HIV test. If it's positive, you'll be able to manage it properly as it's far from a death sentence (you'd be surprised at the number of people that live healthy lives with it). On the other hand, if it's negative, you'll be sure. Cheer up brother, Jesus still loves you.

Hiv is contacted when the blood of an infected person enters the blood stream of an uninfected person. Thats why using unsterilised needles or blade or clippers have higher risk than Sex. But most people don't bother about them,only concerned about not getting it through sex.

Thanks for enlightening me. Her CD4 is about 700 or so that is why she visit the hospital after 6 months n not 3 months. You mean I should be hopeful that I will be fine?

no. She is the only one who knows if she is undetectable based on her last viral load test meanwhile high cd4 simply means her immune system is doing very well and she low chance of contracting an opportunistic infection.
