You must be willing to take on challenges, and sometimes you may come short, but you are learning and strengthening your ability. You don't give up, and you would get the result you desire. |

I CONCLUDED I WOULD FAIL IN LIFE WHEN I WAS JUST A TEENAGER. LISTENING TO GOSPEL PREACHERS YELL ABOUT PROSPERITY AND AGENTS OF DARKNESS MADE GROWING UP THOUGH FOR ME. THINKING TOO MUCH BECAME MY THING BECAUSE MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS WERE ON ONE SIDE OPPOSITE FAMILY AND SOCIETAL PRESSURE. YOU KNOW WHAT I DID? I SAID "FUC IT. WHAT'S THE WORST THAT WILL HAPPEN?". I SIMPLY STOPPED THINKING TOO MUCH AND MOVED IN THE SAME DIRECTION WITH THE OTHERS WITH MINIMAL INTEREST; ATTEND SCHOOL, GET A DEGREE, AND JUST ALLOW LIFE PLAY OUT. TODAY, I WON'T SAY THAT I'VE MADE IT TO THE VERY TOP BUT I'M ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF MY RESPONSIBILITIES, TO A REASONABLE EXTENT. IF WE'RE GOING TO CRUMBLE THEN LET US. IT'S JUST US IN THIS EARTH WITH NEITHER DESTINY NOR ASSURANCE SO WHAT'S THE WORST THAT CAN EVER HAPPEN? JUST GO OUT AND LIVE YOUR LIFE. THINKING ABOUT THESE THINGS IS A SURE WAY TO WASTE YOUR YOUTH. |

Heartlessbanker:Bro, it's very normal. I used to think a lot during my teenage years.. It's one of the reasons I'm always silent and grew up to be an introvert The thoughts that runs through my mind sometimes ehn... Ranging from spiritual things due to church going... To end of the world, maybe the trumpet would just sound just after I finished secondary school and I wouldn't be able to attend higher institutions, ah! Or maybe I won't be rich and still suffer same way I'm doing in the future To whether there'll be an auto crash while traveling and I'll be inside and that'll be the end ![]() Or thoughts about not being sound enough, about whether to do yahoo and make lots of money or to face book and be average like my neighbor whose dad is a School teacher and still struggling Seeing my friends with fresh dp on 2go and Facebook then, looking like they're having better lives than me, inferiority complex did me bad and worst is I had nobody to open up to, not even Nairaland to anonymously post on and seek advice I had to invest more in personal development and quickly choose my career path in life and I faced it squarely And then, I moved close to God and understand his workings... Following his guidance |

Heartlessbanker:No it's not. It's actually a sign of proactive thinking and intelligence. Shows you're thinking about your future. Just don't let it lead to anxiety problems. Find the areas where you're good at. Map out the plans for your life, the most realistic course you may want to chart and then give it your best. You don't have to Dangote. Just do your best. The rest should take care of itself. |
