HLO HOUSE... Pls my Camry 2.4 fan belt pulled out and I called my mechanic. After fixing the belt and l starts it. the exhaust manifold became very red like fire and the car was not moving and he said the manifold was blocked. He he losed it and said he want to remove the net in it so I can drive it away from that sport. After fixing the manifold the car still refused to move well. moving slowly. when you starts the car its not firing well and when you engage the gear the engine will do as if it want to off. And I also noticed oil spilling out from the engin. I have problem here. From pulled engine belt to blocked manifold, engine refused to fire well and to oil spillage. PLEASE HELP...! before my trial and error mechanic make someone go MAD. Plsss

Red hot manifold means blocked exhaust system.

Remove the contents of the catalytic converter in both catalysts (upstream and downstream stream) that should allow exhaust flow properly

If you drove the car when the belt snapped, there is a 99per chance the car overheated because of static coolant flow. This in turn would cause oil seals to get damaged and cause leaks.

Going forward, clean vehicle throttle body, remove battery terminal and restore after 5mins.

Observe coolant level and oil colour.

My chief! Please I experienced this in my vehicle yesterday. Toyota avalon 03. It was having loss of power when I was driving then all of a sudden the car started to jerk, then sound of exhaust changed when I fire.
I took it to a panel beater he said the problem is not from the muffler. He loosened my catalytic converter exhaust manifold and the one right under it to check if something blocked the cats luckily the cats were free and the catalysts intact. He coupled the exhaust back and tolde to start the engine and I did. The exhaust was still blowing. He went under and checked and came out to say the exhaust were turning red. That they are blocked that he has to take it to a welder to cut open and remove things inside. I became afraid that this might lead to my car to start consuming fuel so i told him to fix everything back and drove away with my car. When I start my car the heat that comes out of the manifold is too much.
Please chief what should I do?
