I honestly need an advice. I need to learn a tech skill and possibly switch career later in life. I've considered programming and UX/UI designs. My concern with programming is mathematics. Maths is like a dead sentence for me (F9 in Waec and Neco ). I understand basic HTML from years of working as a blogger using Wordpress.
My next option is Product Designs. What are my chances of becoming a professional product designer as a complete beginner without coding experience (I read some articles online that one need to have coding experience)?
I will appreciate if you can help with some resources that simplify learning for a stack beginer. Thanks

Trust me Boss math shouldn't stop you from learning programming

I know a guy on twitter that started at 30 and now he is a pro at programming

It all depends on on which field you want to specialize in

I do UI/UX for desktop and mobile

Im about to jump into web-dev

I just started learning UI/UX design last week and I can tell you it's relatively easy compared to coding. Though it will help if you know your way around HTML and CSS

Hi bro, I guess you're skilled in HTML/CSS already.
Which platform are you learning from? Where do you advise I start from as a beginner?
Any references or materials would be appreciated too. I want to utilize this lockdown now .

I learnt UI/UX design through YouTube videos from Code with Chris and Jesse Showwalter and then I learnt HTML and CSS through free Udemy videos.

For UI/UX design I use Lunacy it's a free alternative to Figma.

For HTML and CSS I use Sublime Text

You don't need maths to be a good UI and/or UX designer and you can learn anything at any age if you put ur mind to it. I started my web development path during the covid-19 lockdown and am 29 now and I have really gone far.

To be a UI designer you need to have an eye for design, aesthetics, colors, white spaces etc. Learning the right tools like figma n Adobe XD will get you there in creating great high fidelity prototypes - User Interfaces.

To be a UX designer you need to have a flair for identifying problems, researching and solving them. Basically your function here is to ensure Users have the best experience when using your products. Development user journeys/work flows as well as user stories. Hence you must learn to empathise with the target users of your product, identify their problems and motivation and proffer design solutions dat ensures a great user experience. You can start by reading "The Design of Everyday Things" by Don Norman.

UX Design is quite broad and goes beyond digital products. Its fun though.
